I have a screen showing up on the display screen over the picture. The screen gives camera details such as color and other stuff. How do I get it off?

When I turn the camera on the screen is black. It shows the menu display ok and it will display pictures already taken but it is not possible to take pictures as the screen is just black..

Two things there, first... could be a problem with the viewer screen, or, second choice could be a problem with the CCD sensor or go to bad; in both cases this isn't a job that you could solve yourself; this wrong include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

I suggest check THIS LINK for additional details in this previous solutions for an Defective CCD (Charge Coupled Device) and next contact your Canon service.
I strongly suggest (taking into consideration the age of your camera) to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of a new camera with similar features, before making a final desicion.

Hope this helps; check it and keep us updated..

My sony cybershot t90 got little wet

The actual working part of the camera is not affected as the picture is taken properly. But the display part of the camera is only affected. The wetness might have penetrated across the sides of display screen to the inner parts. The display part needs replacement..

Sony F55 Recorded Display

The filename (e.g. DSC0012.jpg) shows the image number, the filespec shows the date and time recorded. Most software will give you document info about resolution of the image. I wouldn't worry about what the battery status was when the shot was taken or how many other images were on the Mstick. I guess I'm not sure what you need.
