Which is best superzoom point and shoot camera ?

This is a question only YOU can answer. What features are most important to you? Cost? Weight? Zoom range? Ease of learning? Ease of use? Other features?

The best camera for you may not be the best camera for someone else.

The winder knob broke on my holga broke how do I fix it?

Sorry but without examining the camera it's impossible to give a definite answer.

What is certain is that all Holga and Lomos are very cheaply manufactured from poor quality materials and that spare parts are not available as they're not designed to be repaired. Almost all of thenm state that the camera lifespan is about 12 rolls of film and on some models it's as low as 6 rolls. The low quality is not really an issue in their home markets as they sell for peanuts in China, but as they've become a fashionable item in the West the importers put them in fancy packaging and charge silly prices.

Most commonly the winder knob either breaks off or the gears inside strip. Sometimes the first fault can be temporarily repaired by drilling and inserting a screw. The second fault cannot be realistically fixed. Unfortunately, most Holgas are made from plastics which are incompatible with most glues.

Sorry to disappoint you, but your only realistic fix is likely to be to replace the camera. There are plenty of old non-professional 120 film cameras lying unused, all you have to do is ask on FreeCycle or Freegle. Such models will usually be better built and have better lenses and light seals though, so you may lose some of the lo-fi unpredictablity that Holgas and Lomos are popular for.

I put new roll of film in the camera and it was sucked back into the film cannister and now can't unroll film to start

Well it is not a big problem. Visit a photo studio and tell then to for leaf out of the roll and load it in your camera. You can't take out that starting point of the roll at home. Because you don't have the small machine. After that put the roll back in your camera.
Now i am going to say most important things.
click few (4-5) snaps using a cover in front of your lens. Then click normally for taking photos.
Thanks.

Hi, i have a minolta 5000i and the indicator on the screen keeps indicating that i have the film in wrong. I have my owners manuale and loading the film is dummy proof but the camera wont pick up the film....

Your 5000i is one of the 2nd generation auto focus SLRs Minolta released in the early 90s. They no longer supply parts or service for this model. If there is a mechanical problem with the film transport, it is likely beyond hope. You can use any lenses for it on similar Minoltas like the 300Si/450Si series which came after yours. These are available usually on sites like eBay for a very low price. I would even consider looking on sites like Craigslist.org for something local.

I'M GOING TO ASK IF YOU HAVE THE CAMERAS MANUAL? IF YOU DON'T, I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU GO TO THE MINOLTA X300 SITE ON THE WEB AND READ THE ONLINE MANUAL FOR YOUR CAMERA. YOU CAN ALSO PRINT PARTS OF IT YOU FEEL YOU NEEDTO HAVE FOR REFERENCE. THIS CAN BE VERY IMPORTANT IF YOU PLAN ON TAKING ANY REALLY GOOD LOOKING PICTURES. I CAN TELL YOU HOW TO LOAD IT NOW BUT YOU CAN GO TO THE SITE A LOOK AT IT BEING DONE AFTERWARDS, BASICAL YOU PULL UP ON THE FILM WINDER THAT IS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CAMERA YOU ARE AT THE BACK OF THE CAMERA. SO PULL THISS CRANK UP THAT RELEASES THE DOOR AND IT SWINGS OPEN AND YOU CAN SEE THE OTHER REEL AND KNOB ON THE RIGHT SIDE , TAKE THE FILM OUT OF THE PACKAGE AND PLACE THE FILM IN THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CAMERA UNDER THE LEFT CRANK WINDER WITH THE FILM TAB COMING OUT ALONG THE BOTTOM SIDE LOWER THE CRANK HANDLE INTO THE FILM CAN TOPUNTIL IT SEATS OVER THE NOTCH. NEXT PULL JUST ENOUGH FILM TO THE RIGHT TO REACH THE RIGHT SIDE CRANK SPOOL. IT HAS A TAB HOLDER ON THE BOTTOM WHERE YOU STICK THE END OF THE FILM INSIDE THE SLOT AND TURN THE CRANK SO ONE OF THE TEETH GRABS A NOTCHIT THE SIDE OF THE FILMWHEN IT DOES, JUST WIND IT A COUPLE OF TURNS AND YOUR DONE,THEFILM ADVANCE LEVER SHOULD BE MOVED NOW UNTIL IT REACHES 1 AND THEN CLOSE THE FILM DOOR AND PUSH DOWN THE LEFT WINDER CRANK TO LOCK THE DOOR SHUT,GIVE THE CRANK A COUPLE OF TURNS BACK TO TAKE UP ANY SLACK AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOUT! I'D PRINT THIS OF AND HAVE SOMEONE READ IT AS YOU DO IT AND IT WILL BE EASIER. IF YOU NEED MORE HELP, REPLY TO: ARCLIGHT1217

Wind / shutter issue (2nd try to post)

It sounds like there is a problem with the frame counter in the film back itself. Try operating the camera with the back removed and on multi-exp to check the shutter functions.

What are you worried about, having pixtures if her friends can recognize you (or at least your siblings?)

Rebooting rarely deletes all information on your computer; and you're supposed to have backups of important things vaulted, too.  Failing that, pay your local tech fixit people or friends to get you square if you don't have time to read up on the system you use, and get things sorted, photo sent to the printer, backups planned; if it's sure harder than that, better send your drive off to the forensic drive recovery firm at hand.

Drivers for Nikon LS 1000

I believe that's a SCSI-interface scanner, making its setup more complicated than there's room for here. Here's what Nikon says about SCSI setups: <http://tinyurl.com/2wxp7p> and the Nikon software for the LS2000 and LS3000 (but maybe it'll work for the LS1000 too) is at <http://tinyurl.com/2qko5e>. There's a good set of detailed installation instructions under cineman's entry at <http://hardware.mcse.ms/archive47-2005-6-203500.html>. Good luck!
