I had same problem, screen showed rows of white spots moving right to left. I removed Hard Drive Unit and switched on, system worked perfect, I refitted HDD and system now works just as before. I dont know if this will work for everyone but worth trying.

This has happened to me before and its a solder issue, same as Red Ring of Death issue. Try to leave the 360 on for an hour and then let cool for 5min. If this doesn't work you can try the towel method, but if that still doesn't work, the best bet is to send to Microsoft. If you do take the 360 apart, try tightening or loosening the black screws on the bottom frame, located under the x-clamps, it may take some fine tuning. You may also find that completely removing the black screws will do the trick.XBOX boots up find, but no picture..NEED HELP - 073dd88.jpg

Screen freeze.

two work-around methods for those consumers who are experiencing the "freeze" issue: 1) Remove or disable the HDD
or,
2) Load three different Xbox 360 games to the main title screen of each game then load Major League Baseball 2K6 on Xbox 360. All three Xbox 360 games must be completely different before loading Major League Baseball 2K6.

I would try some of these troubleshooting steps;

  1. Make sure that the AV cables are 100% secure.
  2. Try an new AV cable.
  3. Try your console on a different TV.
  4. Call xbox customer support at 18004MYXBOX

Xbox 360 has sound but no picture on HD setting

Is the tv rated for HD? if its not the inputs will be at a wrong voltage and will create that snow like effect.

Is the TV you normally game on HD?

Make sure you are on the correct TV Setting. Most TVs have different video settings such as TV, Video 1, Video 2, Component, and many others depending on what type of tv you have. You can find the button on the TV remote. It will probably say something like "TV/Video" on the remote. Hope this helps.
