There is no heat on any of the cycles.

Check Igniter, Igniter Sensor (Senses Igniter is glowing) & gas valve Coils. Remove Front or rear access panel to observe/access these items. Set heated dry cycle & start dryer while observing Igniter, should start to glow bright orange for several seconds, sensor should send millivolt power to valve coils that will CLICK opening valve producing blue flame for heat. If Igniter doesn't glow within a minute, its bad, If it glows & nothing else happens it's either Sensor or Coils are bad, check the coils by using Ohm meter across plug ends of coils, if bad you will get no reading on meter, coil is open & no good, or take both Sensor & Coils to repair shop and have them tested. All 3 are accessable thru access panel opening.

The dryer has no heat when turned on.

Check your coils & igniter. Access door usually located in lower right front of dryer. Remove (pry up & out from bottom of panel, if no screws, exposing burner assembly. Set dryer for heated dry and start, you should see the igniter glow bright orange (give it at least a minute) followed by a CLICK sound,(again, a few seconds) this is the coils opening the gas valve, followed by a blue flame for heat. If no glow, replace igniter. If igniter glows bright and no click, replace the coils.

The igniter glows but it wont heat

The burner power circuit is good as indicated by the igniter glowing. The problem now lies in the gas valve solenoid coils failing to open the valves to allow gas to flow be ignited. The coils are located on top of the gas valves one with two terminals and the other with three. Replace both coils to make the dryer heat up again.

I have a Maytag Epic Z. The dryer turns on but with no heat

There are several things that can cause this. 1 st the thermal fuse(white plastic piece with 2 wires attached to it, then the igniter, is it glowing orange when you start the dryer, then the flame sensor located on the side of the burner assembly and finally the gas coils located on the gas valve close to the burner assembly. If the igniter is glowing orange and then going out without ignition change the gas coils, Hope this helps,

MY GE GAS DRYER WILL NOT HEAT UP

check an pop the lil plastic cover on the front of the dryer an then turn the dryer on an see if the igniter glows after 30 secnds if it glows........** you probably have bad coils****if it doesnt then check the thermal fuse for continuity if is not checking ok replace it , that is one of the most common causes,
steps
1 check igniter for glowing
2 check thermal fuse for continuity test
3 if they both check ok an still no heat change the coils

good luck!

Intermitten Heat up

make sure that your vent is not plug up can you go outside your house and feel good air coming out the vent when the dryer is turn on if so the only other things it could be is the coils that sit on the ignotor assmebly or the high limit termistat is not working properly the coils are little black circle coils that sit in the ignitor assmly should have a metal braket across the top of them holding them in you can check resistance on these coils if you have an meter

Gas dryer is not heating up

Could be a bad set of burner coils. Does the glow come on for a bit then goes out. And after a bit does same?
Probably bad coils. If you were able to change ignitor, you can do the coils. Unplug first! The coils are the 2 black cylinder shaped devices on burner. They are held on with a bracket that has 2 phillips screws. You can probably take them to your parts house and they can ohm them out for you. Make sure to write down their position before removing them.
