Fisher paykel DegX1 replacement cord istallation

Well, of all the problems, you selected an easier one!
Your four-pronged cord has two straight lugs on it.
These are "HOT".
You also have two more lugs, one is round, and one is "L" shaped.
Those two are "ground".
Here's how they attach.
Inside the rear of your machine are 3 screws/nuts in a row.
The outside 2 screws/nuts are both HOT, and it doesn't matter whether the red wire goes to the left one or the right one.
Same with the black wire.
Goes to the left or the right.
The center screw/nut is for the white ground wire.
The other wire (maybe green or maybe blue) should be attached to the side of the hole where the wire enters the dryer.
That one should be put under a screw on the side of the hole, fastened to the "case" or the body of the dryer.
Be blessed.

Bought dryer In October 2007. Now the auto-dry cycle is not doing the job. Clothes are still quite damp when cycle shuts off. The lint bucket is not full and we cleaned out area leading to it along...

You may need to reset the breaker for the heating elements or clean and check the continuity contacts. Go to This forum will work you through your problem

F @ P DEGX2 lint trap problem

If you are collecting more on the outside of the house means the lint filter has a tear in it and the lint in being pulled through the tear and pushed out the exhaust. It sounds like you need a new filter but this isn't cheap. If you do it your self it will run about $70 if you get a repair man it will cost about $150.

Just started last week, the dryer will dry for about 5 minutes and then it stops working.

Sounds like it is shutting down on high temp cutout, check to make sure the vent has no obstructions,(lint, kinks, vent door blocked close ect....)Also with the lintscreen removed, make sure there is'nt lint buildup under or behind it.Hope this helps

Lint is not going into pull out lint trap. The lint screen is torn and lint is collecting behind trap.

Poor air flow would be my guess. How long is the vent hose? Does it have more than one angle/turn before venting outside? Is the lint gathering around the outer edges of the door? Keeping the length of air travel shorter will improve the operation.

Fisher paykel degx1 lint trap won t release

Probably the holder/bearing for is out of place... it is really hard to get it out if this is the case but you can try putting a putty knife in between the top of the lint trap and the bearing and pressing down on the knife. If you get it out the lint scraper will have to be reset, F/P may be able to walk you through this.

Dryer won't heat

I have a F&P dryer DEGX1 about three years old , followed kristi's advice and it worked. There are two screws holding the information panel on, inside there is a schematic with instructions on how to put the dryer in diagnostic mode and how to take the front panel off. i reset the breaker located at the bottom of the front panel on the heating element box and put it back together and it worked.
My vent cover outside was frozen shut and this caused the breaker to blow saving the heater elements, am changing the vent cover to a different design to prevent this happening again
