Everytime we go to the facebook homepage or anything else on the website, the internet shuts the program down. We can use the internet fine on everything else. I don't know if I need to delete my account and start another one or if that will help. Any suggestions?

Log out of your mate's account by clicking the down-pointing triangle in the upper-right then clicking "Log Out." You can then log on to your account.

try to update both java and adobe flash for your browsers.

Also check you computer for spyware/malware.

If you cannot connect to the Facebook website correctly:

1. Check to see whether you can connect in another browser (such as firefox).

• If you can connect in another browser:

  2. Check to make sure your Internet security software (such as a firewall, antivirus, or anti-spyware program) is set to allow Firefox. For instructions on configuring specific firewall programs, see Firewalls.
• If you cannot connect in any browser, the Facebook site may be down.

Try FireFox or Chrome. If you don't want a new browser try resetting IE.

change ur entering just 4 try
enter with a new name if it works then u could reach ur friends again with anew name
if its not then its not ur problem
its site problem or IP of ur country
ask ur friend from ur town 2 be sure

Try contacting your internet service provider and see what the problem is or contact facebook.

try another browser

you need to make sure you dont have anymore programs running as anything can make facebook go off...its sort of fragile...i should know.
i had the same problem but after i had enough of it,i ended up recovering my laptop with the disc you get with it just to make sure nothing on my laptop is interfering with the internet and internet pages such as facebook.
