Question about Nikon D40x Digital Camera
This model has back-up battery inside located at left side of battery compartment that holds charge for error memory. Disconnecting that battery for moment will refresh memory to clear any stored bug/ error that is causing to stop camera function.
Camera will take apart in detail to access that back-up battery and professional can do that in safe manners.
