Kenmore Progressive upright brush not turning. This happened before
I had the manuel but can't find it now. I forgot how to get the top off
to get to the belt. It has the indents on both sides but I can't figure it out

I have the same problem.

Not sure what model you have, you didn't post the number. But you can go to http://sears.com , click on the parts link, enter your complete model number, then you may have to scroll down, but it should give you options to click on, when you do it will come up with a parts list, aso a picture breakdown. Maybe this will help.
