The unit shoots water out of the water dispenser sporadically. It seems to coincide with what should be a fill cycle for the ice maker. Is something diconnected and causing "ice water" to become "drinking water" ??
Please help before my wife makes me buy a new refrigerator !!!!

Re: FRIGIDAIRE FRS26ZSG - WATER DISPENSER
This only happens when the ice maker is being filled? Does it seem like excessive pressure? Is the water volume still the same? The first thing to try is, just to do a full defrost of the unit and see if that de-ices the device. You may have a buildup in the tube or the water pump may be the problem. When the ice maker isn't filling though, is the water dispenser normal or is something still wrong with it?
Please get back to me on this and tell me what you have tried.

First check the water flow.Is the water flow running. If the water flow is blocked then no water will enter the dispenser. If water is running properly but its not entering the water dispenser then check the water tube,is it kinked or got loose or got blocked. But if water is running ok,and water tube is proper and not blocked or kinked. Also connected properly to its hose Then the possibility is water valve, this is at the back of the ice maker unit. There is a twin valve, which lets the water enter the ice dispenser and water dispensing unit. But if the valve is blocked from one side or faulty then it will not let the water to get dispensed. Also in some cases the ice gets clogged in the water fill tube and this creates the problem. If there is ice frost problem then you can use hair dryer to melt the ice collected in the water fill tube. But take care you unplug the unit from main power outlet before doing this. Its for safety reasons.
If the valve is faulty then it has to be replaced. And you can get required parts from online sites like, sears parts direct or from repairclinic.com
This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
Hello. Hollow cubes is caused when there is not enough water going into the ice cube molds. That said, since you have too much water going into the water dispenser I would suspect that the valve needs to be cleaned or possibly replaced. Joe
check the water line fron filter that continues on to water dispfrom icemaker, also a bad water disp solenoid or no pwr to water valve disp solenoid could be a problem, when you try to disp water can you hear a click from the solenoid operating to let water out?
Be sure that the water supply is on, and that the plastic water hose is not kinked, blocked or frozen. Mine was twisted at the bottom left door hinge. Also, check the black microswitch behind the ice/water outlet. Mine was sticking. Just a couple bucks at any Electrical Supply distributor.
Hope this helps,
welcometo the world of FRIGIDAIRE!! only company i know using that DIODE within the harness, im unable to lok up the part number for the DIODE kit, there are 2 of them, i would call the manufacture and ask them to supply you with number... just seems a ltiile wierd that ice maker fill troughdoor andyour water fill the ice machine, i see that you tried switching wires and lines still thesame result, please excuse the silly question but did you try to just switch the wires to the dual valve??? not worrying abouth the lines. just askin.
Sounds like the water solinoid valves are wired wrong. One activates The water dispenser. The other the ice maker. That, why every so often the water shoots out on the floor. The ice maker is telling the valve to open.
