Question about Kenmore 500 6952 Dryer
The circuit breaker tripped because of a short circuit in the motor windings as indicated by the motor humming prior to the breaker tripping. The breaker did not trip when reset because the shorted winding is now open and the motor cannot therefore run and just hums. The only viable solution should that be the case is replacing the motor.
