That's normal ,the vent line needs to be cleaned out and most likely you need to clean out the dryer, you need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, vac out the cabinet where the motor is and clean out the vent line,i use a leaf blower if it's a long vent line, remove the vent line from the back of dryer and blow it out,if it's gas you should do this once a year and elecric once every two years so you don't have a fire also so your clothes will dry on time and your dryer will last longer parts wise because the dryer will not over heat,

that's normal, obviously you haven't cleaned out your dryer and vent line, nobody ever tells the customer when you buy your dryer that it should be cleaned out at least once a year so you don't have a fire more so if it's a gas dryer with an open flame inside the dryer, you gotta vac out the inside where the motor is,clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into and blow out the vent line,i use a leaf blower to clean out the vent line, take it off the back of the dryer, stick the leaf blower in the line if it's a long run if it runs through the wall and to the outside flapper and blow all the **** out of it,also if you have a shop vac put it on blow and blow off the motor, you won't believe how much lint comes off the motor even though it looks clean,so vac out the inside of dryer, clean out the lint filter duct and blow out the vent line

SOURCE: Outside of dryer gets hot,

Your dryer has some internal ductwork. If it gets clogged, your dryer can't dry properly. In most dryers, to get to the internal ductwork to clear the clog, you have to substantially disassemble the dryer. A quick way to check for internal clogs is to remove the lint filter and use a flashlight to inspect the inside of the duct. If it looks clogged and you can't clear it using your vacuum.

Dryer vent blocked

Dryer vents can block up with lint over time. Remedy is to disconnect dryer from power supply, then disconnect exhaust ducting from the dryer. Sometimes the duct leading to outside air will be plugged. Try using a vacuum cleaner to remove the accumulated lint. Same thing with the dryer. Re-connect the power and give it a test. If there is lot's of air coming out of the dryer, connect the exhaust duct and test again. Check the outside vent to see if there is air coming out. Sometimes there will be a screen under the cover and it will completely block with lint. Lots of people remove the screen.
Hope this helps.

A curious question concerning the lint trap. When I took the back off the dryer and took off the section that houses the lint trap I found lint half way down the in this section along with what appears to...

I am a furnace repair guy by trade, but as far as I know there shouldn't be anything in the lint trap section, are you sure its insulation and not lint?

If you had lint going that far down the trap, you may have lint plugging up your line going out the house. If you have the flexible pipe with the rings on it going out the house. I would look into the cleaning out the vent line.

One test you can do yourself, run your dryer find the vent on the outside of the house and feel the air coming out, if its hesistant or slow coming out, your vent might plugged up. If you have lint hanging from the vent outside or on the ground. Definately look into getting your vent cleaned out.

Hi Our Bosch dishwasher (sms63e09uk) has E:01 displayed on the digital control panel. What does this mean and how do we rectifiy the problem

It means the machine is not getting enough water you need to replace the water inlet valve, that is very possible try cleaning it and see if that helps. If it does not then the problem is the water valve.Which is a very common problem.

This air flow error code refers to the dryer vent. This can refer to the dryer's lint screen, the thermistor behind the filter, or the vent itself could be clogged.
In order to determine which one is the problem we will need to gather some information.
1. Will water pour through lint filter's mess?
2. Outside where the unit vents on the side of the house can you feel air coming out?
3. Is the vent hose on the backside kinked or clogged?
4. Obstruction on vent housing outside (if screen is present on outside remove right away this is a fire hazard.)
Water should pour through the lint filter easily. Fabric sheets will put a layer of wax on the lint screen causing the dryer air circulation to be cut off. We should be able to feel warm, moist air at the vent outside. If air is not present you are in need of a dryer vent cleaning. A kinked or clogged vent hose can also cause the E01 error code. Ensure the vent hose is clear and placed in position with as few bends as necessary. When the vent is clear the E01 error should clear itself upon start up.

Hope helps.

Heats but doesn't dry

If your clothes are coming out hot but still wet you have a vent problem Either the lint trap at the dryer is clogged or the vent coming out of the dryer to the outside has a build up of lint. If you don't clean the blockage it will burn out the heating elements and cause you more problems. A shop vacuum will take care of both problems in cleaning out lint trap and dryer vent

Good luck hope this helped you some

The dryer will not produce heat and blowing lint

check where your dryer vent goes through your outside wall they sometimes clog up with lint and cause the escaping heat to recirculate back to your dryer causing the sensor to read the dryer as too hot clear all lint from the outside vent so you can feel the air coming out very steadily and quickly If this works you are all set otherwise check your heating element

Lint filter light comes on and smells like smoke from inside the dryer. No lint in lint filter

You need to vacuum the lint from the entire vent system from the door to the outside vent. Wash the lint screen in hot water and detergent to remove fabric softener sheet residue which plugs the screen.

DRYER TAKES LONGER TO DRY

you could have restricted airflow from the lint screen not being cleaned, a bad blower wheel, or a bad thermostat. take the vent hose off the back and check to see if the air flows out the dryer with good force, if so your vent is probably clogged or not open in the wall. the vent hose may also be picned off from puching the dryer back to far.
