Hi
A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your Tv and look at the power supply on the left hand side.

You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.
Hope this helps

Thats the Power Supply. You need to call a service man, please disconnect this unit from the Power, It is dangerous to leave it plugged in. what is happening is the set has developed a serious fault, to avoid a fire or explosion, the PSU has shut down the set. that noise you hear is the power supply struggling against the fault. trying to start. Please for safeties sake, get a "Quote" from a reputable, preferably an RCA recommended service centre.

Ink cartirdge cannot be recognized even though correct cartidge was installed

Hi there

You can try this but it lots to do but may help

This message may be resolved by resetting the unit. Please follow these
steps:

1. With the printer powered on, open the cover. The ink will move to
the left hand side.

2. Push down on the end of the black cartridge. A clicking noise will
be heard.

3. Slide the cartridge out of the holder towards you.

4. Push down on the end of the colour cartridge. A clicking noise will
be heard.

5. Slide the cartridge out of the holder towards you.

6. Once both cartridges are removed, unplug the power to the printer
(without turning it off).

7. Reconnect the power cord.

8. Turn on the printer.

9. Open the cover. The carriage that holds the ink will move to the
left hand side.

10. Make sure the orange cap is off of the bottom of the black
cartridge.

11. Place the black cartridge in the bottom of the printer.

12. Slide the black cartridge back until is cannot go back any further.

13. Push up on the end of the black cartridge, a clicking noise should
be heard.

14. Make sure the orange cap is off of the bottom of the colour
cartridge.

15. Place the colour cartridge in the bottom of the printer.

16 Slide the colour cartridge back until is cannot go back any further.

17. Push up on the end of the colour cartridge, a clicking noise should
be heard.

Please note that the colour cartridge will stick out further than the
black cartridge.

Close the cover. The printer should make some noise for a few moments,
and then return to standby.

If the message persists, to clear the low ink-warning message, press and
hold down the button for at five seconds, and then release
it. This will disable the ink detection until that cartridge has been
replaced.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

I have a samsung 4069 and when i try to turn it on it just clicks

Hi my name is Eric,
I hope I can help you with your issue ,
The TV not starting properly you should hear the tone noise (bleep bleep) not a ticking noise or no sound .
These Samsung LCDs have problems with the power supply capacitors going bad, a servicer will charge between $200 and $450 to repair it replacing either the capacitors or the whole board.
here is a DIY (do it yourself) solution:
It could be just a few bad capacitors on the power supply, if you want to attempt the repair yourself you can do a visual of the power board caps will appear swollen on to.
We do not recommend do it yourself, but depending on your knowledge and technical ability you may be able to.
with the back removed you will usually see two circuit boards the upper one is the power supply, it has a few capacitors on it (cylindrical standing straight up soldered in mark on the sides with the positive/negative sides and MF and Volts values)
Samsung uses mostly 1000Mfd at 16Volts rating capacitors, they cost about $1 each (680mfd will also work fine)
usually I replace about four of them (or all the bulged on top ones) .
The power board and back unscrew with a medium philips screwdriver, if you do not know how to desolder and resolder then do not attempt this as you may damage the TV more than fix it.

best of luck to you
Hope this helps, if it has solved your issue please click accept
But if you have more questions please respond and I will reply asap
Thanks
Eric

HL-R4266W shuts down and a faint clicking sound can be heard

I believe I read somewhere that when you open the back cover over the lamp, there is a special little black switch that needs to be in the up position when you put the cover back on, or the TV can shut itself off randomly.

Power supply making noise and burnt smell can i adapt a normal power supply for compaqs proprietary power supply

hello,
a noise may accure in power supply due to a short circuit or fan does not run properly. if you smell like burnt then you should remove the power supply from pc and open it. then check the capaciter and other element and if you find any broken capaciter then change it with it original value.

Cant switch it on!

Sounds very much like a main power supply that needs a 'kick' to start up. This is often caused by the loss of value of a capacitor in the power supply, one that handles feedback to start the supply initially and carries the signal to shut it down in case of a circuit fault in one of the areas the supply services. Inadequate feedback will make the supply unable to start properly and more likely to shut down even though no fault condition exists. If I'm right, it will get worse and searching for the problem requires an instrument not found in the average home; a capacitance meter with loss measuring capabilities.

I'm clearing this from my queue, since i haven't heard back. You need to get hold of the service manual for your TV. I hope you know how to solder - be careful.

Problem booting

The power supply is your likely culprit. You probably have a bad diode in the power supply. Even if you check the voltages and everything checks out, it still could be bad because voltage checks are done with no load on the power supply. When a diode is bad, a load on the power supply can cause shut down (had the same thing happen to my pc 2 mos ago.) Try a different supply of at least the same wattage rating. If you are still having the same problem, you could be looking at a bad system board. Hope this helps. Good luck.
