Well I have the same problem and my husband had to shut the water off. But I was reading that its the little hole at the far back on bottom that gets clogged up or frozen. I looked and it is that problem but Im not sure how tp fix it. I read that hot water and vinegar should do the trick. GOOD LUCK.

Water collects at bottom/Ice forms in top

Hi,

The defrost drain is located just under the cooling coils in the back of the freezer. You will need to unload the food and remove the shelves from the freezer. Take the back panel off from inside the freezer and you will see a hole just below the coils. Flush it with hot water using a turkey baster or small hose. See the link below for more details.

I have water leaking from what looks like a drain hole in the bottom of the freezer side causing ice buildup in bottom of freezer under bin. How can I fix this?

chisel away the ice at the bottom and you will see your drain line. Use a turkey baster and hot water and shoot water down the drain line until its clear. Once its draining freely put another half cup of hot water down the drain line. this will correct the problem. The water is coming from the defrost cycle which is normal the drain hole is just frozen over and the water has nowhere to go but to overflow. Good luck _MJ_

Ice accumulation on the bottom of the freezer

Your drain line is clogged, that is located behind the white wall inside of the freezer. The water comes from defrost cycle, that happens every 8-12 hours. You need to defrost it and snake it.

Kenmore 795-75202400 icemaker problem.

Good day,
Either the water valve opens to fill the ice maker cavity, and doesn't shut off soon enough, causing the ice maker to overflow.
Normal file time is approx. 7 seconds.
This is the most common problem.
As well, it is possible the micro switch in the ice-maker that tells the valve to open and close has malfunctioned.
This is all based on the fact that the freezer maintains a normal temperature.
To test the freezer for consistency, place a plastic glass in the freezer half full of water.
Check it in 8 hours. It should be frozen solid. Then place the glass in a plastic bowl, and lay the glass on it's side. Recheck in 24 hours. The ice should remain in the glass.
If not, there is a problem with the refrigeration system.

Water/freezing to ice at the bottom of the freezer MZD2766ge

sounds like a drain clog in the freezer compartment above. remove the freezer rear panel and totally defrost the evaporator area, directly under the evap you see( under all that ice) a small drain hole that has become frozen over, try defrosting with either a hair dryer( not a heat gun too much heat youll melt everything) or by pouring hot water down the drain until you get a free flow of water down the tube. after its clear reassemble and you should be fine

Frigidaire Side-By-Side Refrigerator Leaks Water on Floor

I don't have the same refrigerator, but had a similar issue with a GE. Melt the ice at the bottom of the freezer. I think the water comes from the auto defrost feature. There should be a hole at the back bottom of the freezer that water would go into, and run to an evaporator pan under the refrigerator. The tube may be blocked that allows this water to drain, so it is backing up in the bottom of the freezer, and overflowing through the front bottom of the freezer to your floor.

Water accumulates under vegetable bins and spills out the front

the water is coming from the freezer when is defrosts. the drain line is in the back wall of the freezer and may be clogged up with ice. clean out the freezer and pour some hot water in the very back of the freezer, this will hopefully unclog the drain. if not, then you have to take the back wall out of the freezer to get directly to the drain line. there should just be a couple screws holding it; it is just an aluminum or plastic panel.

Ice forming on bottom of freezer section

The freezer should have a drain hole for the defrost water to flow through. This will drain into a pan outside of the freezer cabinet. If this drain tube becomes blocked it will not allow the water to drain out and it will accumulate in the bottom of the freezer section. You will have to verify that the drain is clear through to the drain pan. this can be done carefully with a piece of stiff wire. There should also be some sort of a water trap on the drain tube to prevent air from entering the freezer compartment through the drain tube.
