Question about Dell W3000 30 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
I have a Dell 30 inch flat panel, green power on, it has no video at all only audio, Would this be an iverter board, also does lg make this and where could a person get parts or service since it is out of warrenty. was purchased 4/13/2005. Dell said to hold in the power button while plugging it in to reset the power supply to no avail. Any help would sure be appreciated. Thanks Jerry green light comes on but no picture. used to go on with constant on off switching...it no longer comes on
You could first try a hard reset by unplugging it for 8 hours and plugging it back in which is a hard reset. Dell had you perform a soft reset. I don't think either will work but it never hurts to try.
I believe that it may be a problem in the microprocessor circuit
All parts could be bought through dell
The first thing I would try though, is calling Dell and see if they will replace it for you for free or fix it has I have seen them doing this for many people even out of warranty. So be persistent and see if they will replace this for you. 1-800-624-9897
Let me know how everything goes and if dell won't do anything for you then have a look at the boards for bent pins if the microprocessor circuitry checks out fine.

Firstly i would suggest you to perform Self-Test Feature Check (STFC)
Your LCD TV when used as a computer display through DVI and/or VGA connection provides a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your LCD TV is functioning properly. If your LCD TV and computer are properly connected but the LCD TV screen remains dark, run the LCD TV self-test by performing the following steps:
This box also appears during normal system operation if the video cable becomes disconnected or damaged.
Turn off your LCD TV and reconnect the video cable; then turn on both your computer and the LCD TV.If your LCD TV screen remains blank after you use the previous procedure, check your video controller and computer system; your LCD TV is functioning properly.
OSD Warning Messages
A warning message may appear on the screen indicating that the LCD TV is out of sync range.
See Specifications for the Horizontal and Vertical frequency ranges addressable by this LCD TV. Recommended mode is 1280x 768 @ 60Hz.
Thanks for using fixya technical support. You have a wonderful day

Had same problem as described by others, green light, audio, but no picture. Decided to look inside. Layed the TV face down on three textbooks (1 at top & 1 at left & Right) so that back (9 large screws & 2 small screws) could be removed along with stand. From the power supply (board that 110v AC plugs into) there is a cable connected to a circuit board on the left (again looking from the back of the TV) covered by metal shielding. Unplug this cable clean the male contacts with a miniture wire brush (bought mine at Home Depot) & plug the cable back into the socket. With rubber gloves (just to be safe) plug the AC cord into the back of the TV & wall and turn on your TV. The bulbs should activate in 7 - 8 seconds. Reassemble the back of the TV & install the stand. Enjoy your TV Doug
