If it came with a DVD ROM you have to plug in the fan and put the DVD ROM disk into the laptop then go into a file called 'Computer' and click on the DVD ROM picture now go through the setup and your fan should work!! If your laptop is running 'Windows 7' you MITE not need the DVD ROM. If it still doesn't work take your laptop and the fan to a computer shop and let them sort it out for you!! I Hope This Information Works For You :-)
u should try to purchase a fan for laptops, they sell them at any staples, wlamart, kmart, etc..., depending on the money u spend on ur laptop it probably don't have a built in fan or either the fan has stopped working, but i've found the laptop fans work good and aren't that expensive.
check out following steps. 1) If your laptop works and gets switched off after some use 2) your laptop fan not moving 3) open the laptop and its sink where fan is located.. clean it and reinstall the fan... see if its working... or order a new fan for your model. this will work as i faced the same problem a few days ago
Is the laptop running hot? Sometimes the power saving mode in the BIOS will shut off the fan to conserve power when the processor isn't in danger of overheating. Try getting into the BIOS and playing with the fan and power saving settings to verify that the fan actually works as installed in your system. Otherwise, if you know that the fan works and you have it plugged into the system board correctly, there must be an electrical malfunction internally on the laptop and there is no way to troubleshoot further unless you know a lot about circuitry.
The fan should be working from the moment you push the on button, and increase the rpm's as the temp rides inside the laptop. In a laptop it is very critical in keeping the components from overheating and failing.
Hi there, 1st of all ilike to know that is your laptop working or not? if its working & only fan is not working then, remove the back cover in your laptop, then remove the fan .Dont forget to disconnect the fan first from motherboard. After that replace it with new fan. Thanks& waiting for your feedback.
