Question about Bunn CWT 15-APS Coffee Maker

1 Answer

I obtained Bunn CWTF15-APS from a restaurant next door to my office. They were no longer using it and had left it outside over the winter. When I hooked it up there was water leaking as a result of a few frozen sections of tubing - which I replaced and that all works without leaking now. When I pluged it in nothing seemed to be happening so I pushed the Start button and it filled with water which heated up quickly, the hot water tap pours hot water, yet the brewer did not begin to flow. I pushed start again and if began filling again - until it overflowed... I turned it off and disconnected the power. Is there a procedure for first time use that I am missing? How should I set it up to run for the first time - and when should it begin to pour hot water through the sprayer and into the coffee pot?

Thanks for the help Jonnie - I used a wire and vinegar to clean out any lime buildup in the sprayer.

On further inspection it appears that the lid to the tank is not sealed. Is this type of coffee brewer supposed to have a sealed tank which uses pressure from the heated water to push the hot water through the sprayer assembly? If so it it a lost cause of the lid is warped?

Have you tried running vinigar or a cleaner throught with the water or running a wire up it .Sometimes they plug up withlime and will not allow the water to run.Be sure and rinse it well after the cleanser so everything runs clear and you may have to do this two or three times, depending on how pluged it is.

My bunn cwtf15 won't put out hot water from tap, and won't brew hot enough water even after adjusting thermostat?

your thermal fuse has blown. it's in what is now brown tubing and is located in the top right rear of the machine. remove the top lid, remove the trough drain nut and trough to get to it. you can either bypass it with a jumper, or call (800) 352-BUNN (2866)

Bunn coffee maker cwtf15 water is boiling over

if it's actually boiling, replace the high temp limit fuse on the top of the tank on the inside rear of the brewer. may be stuck shut. if it's just overflowing the container, recallibrate by using a 64 ounce measuring cup and the instruction on the inside of the front panel

I have a used Bunn CWTF15-APS, that warms the water but does not heat all the way up. I'm wondering what is causing this problem. thanks so much

I would remove the front panel and check the pressure stat to make sure it is set high, turn knob all the way to the right the back it up 1/4 of a turn. It that is done and after 7 minutes water is not hotter then the problem is on the top, the hi-limit needs to be replaced.

I have a Bunn CWTF15. Water does not fill the coffee pot full anymore. Is there a float that needs to be adjusted? Would descaling help this problem? Thank you.

If u haven't cleaned it out using 3/4 vinegar to 1/4 water, some times this will happen. after running this thru ur coffee maker, (u won't believe the junk that comes out), then run full pots of water to rinse out (2x's). This should help it perform better.

Bunn CWTF15 Airpot brewer

If the unit does this constantly, it's probably seeping past the solenoid valve. you can try taking it off and check for dirt or corrosion that is stopping it from closing properly, or replace it. the solenoid valve is located under the front panel, and is silver in colour with 2 wires & 2 copper tubes coming to it. as always, please be sure there is no power coming to the unit before servicing!!
