Hey You can refer to thin link here :
http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/linksys.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=15372&lid=1291355503B13

You can check the settings and if it is again again losing the settings then there might be a possibilty that the firmware of Nss4000 has gone faulty or is corrupted.
You will have to upgrade it through the CD provided to you or best will be to contact Linksys and they will be able to give you the exact information...

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Nss4000 with home computer quad core 2.4mghz 8 g ram. all rj45 connections are gigabit transfer speed between computer and nas is 11MB/s what should the tfr speed be? Should I be using cat 6...

Your speed is going to be limited by your slowest component. Most cables you buy in a store are really cat 5e which will do 1000Mbps. If your getting 11MBps (~100Mbps) then something in your network is running at 100Mbps. Assuming your going from Computer -> Router -> Nas
Computer needs a 1Gbps NIC in it, you need at least a cat 5e cable to router, router needs to support 1Gbps bandwidth, cable from router to nas needs to be at least cat 5e and your nic on nas needs to support 1Gbps as well.
So check the spec's on each device and replace the bottleneck because I doubt you can find regular cat 5 unless you tried really hard :)
If you can't find the specs comment back with all three model #s

My Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive ("HMNHD") used to work perfectly, until I reset my Dell Inspiron 1545 and installed Windows 7 to upgrade it from Vista. I backed up all my files, program data,...

First and the foremost thing is that when u backup any info to an external hard drive try only back up the data that u have saved. Coz application cannot be saved if done they cannot be retrived. Now if those files are asking for permissions then right click on the file - properties - then on the securities - click on add - then Under Enter the object names to seclect type in Everyone then click on Check Name now Everyone will come in Underlined - click on OK - U will come back to properties tab then on top click Everyone - And under Permissions for everyone Under Full Control Check ALLOW - Then OK
this should fix the issue.
If this does not helps, since u have transfered all the data back to the PC why not format the External Hard Drive. Connect the Drive right click on it the see it teh format option is there or not if present then foprmat it.

There are a variety of ways to display the NSS Login window.
•Open the Web browser on your computer: In the Address field, enter "http://NAS<MAC address>" (For example, "http://NAS0018F804E44C".)
•Browse for the NSS from the My Network Places window.
•Select the NSS to a network drive from a mapped network drive.
The NSS Login window appears:

Also please follow the below link for manual it will help you to setup

Password problem

On older LinkSys routers, the default username is blank and the default password is "admin." On newer Linksys routers, both the default username and the default password are set to "admin." Once you are past the login screen, you are able to reconfigure the LinkSys router
