How to replace olevia lt37hvs ir receiver replacement

You may find this is impossible to do---the receiver if the set has buttons on front will be located there--if on same tiny circuit board as buttons you will have to TRY to find a replacement board--Good luck as this brand often NO parts are available.

While all IR receivers are similar they have different values and mountings.

I will presume you had the remote itself TESTED which will rule it in or out.

Ir receivers sometimes show no function unless remote is right up very close are bad---they also of course can fail where there is not any responses shown.

Tanaka htr 5660 was working fine. Not sure what button I hit, but sub and rear surround quit working. I have followed troubleshooting guides and to no avail. Connections are all fine as well

You must have hit the DIRECT button . In this mode it produces pure stereo sound by shutting down the multichannel Digital Sound Processor (DSP). Only your front Left & Right speakers will work

Can i connect bose 901 to denon avr891? with 901 eq that required "tape monitor '

Two problems:

1) You have no specific Front Right and Left Pre-Outs. Using the available DVR Out, for example, would feed mixed-down stereo full voume programming instead of volume-controllable Front Channel-only output.

2) If you had them you would still need a separate amp for the 901's as its Active EQ is unsuitable for 'normal' non-901 speakers and engagement of any analog processor in an analog tape loop (like DVR Out/In) would effectively kill any digital source. It WOULD only work for analog sources.

How are you connecting the TV to the receiver? The receiver offers HDMI, component video and composite video outputs. The one you use will depend on what inputs are available on your TV. Whichever you choose, have the appropriate cables connected at both ends. Then make sure the proper source is selected on the TV and your camera output should be visible. The receiver manual is available for download at Yamaha's site if you need a copy for connection details.

Receives faxes ok, but when a voice call comes in a fax tone sounds on on the calling and receiving phone after 3 rings.

Depending on the model, you can set to fax only (which you have), fax/phone mode (starts up for a fax and re-rings for a voice call), or manual receive (YOU must press start to receive a fax. Some models have the options right on the front control panel. Some require programming to be accessed. Either way, an owners manual may be available online.

Please rate me if this helps.

Setting up the TV with our stereo

Sure. On back of DVD player find 'audio out" left and right.
Obtain a twin RCA jack audio cable of sufficient length and put
the two plugs on one end into those audio ports, and plug
the color matching ends into any available" audio in" left/right
ports (except "phono") on your receiver. Done.

For the TV sound use the same kind of twin cable, and obtain
the sound source from audio out left/right on the back of your
cable or satellite provider box and find one additional set
of available "audio in" left/right ports on your receiver. Done.

Turn the receiver dial to correspond to the audio port that
you selected on the back and enjoy it.

If you don't have a separate cable or satellite box chances
are your TV will have audio out left/right ports in the back
or front somewhere and use those to route your TV sound,
but if you do that don't expect the sound quality to be
top notch (depending on the TV circuitry ).

If you have only one unused audio in left right pair available
on your receiver you will need to use an "A/B" audio
switch, and your local electronic store can tell you how to
use it.

You are doing the right thing. The sound should be much
improved by using your receiver. And by the way, when the
sales person in the store suggests that you need gold plated
jacks ignore him and buy the plastic ones. They will work
just fine.

Good luck.
