Question about Surefire E1E "Executive Elite" Flashlight

1 Answer

Have a Surefire Executive Elite E1e. I purchased it new in 2007 prior to deploying to Afghanistan. After a period of 7 months, the bulb burned out. I ordered a new bulb and replaced the old bulb. It lasted a couple of days and then burned out. I replaced it again with same results. Replaced the battery each time so there was always a new battery in the unit.

If you can access the "guts" of the device. Try and see if there is an electrical malfunction such as frayed wire or moisture on the circuits. It sounds like an electrical short is causing the bulb to work harder that it needs to causing its life to be drastically shortened. If its an investment, I would go ahead and set up service for the device (or if you have the capabilities and know-how to repair it yourself it might be easier). Remember though any attempt to repair an item yourself might void the warranty.

I did a little research and found that all products from the manufacturer are under lifetime warranty as long as they are owned by the original owner. Go ahead and send it in for an easy hastel free repair.

I am not sure if you are in the us again but I have here two different numbers to set up service

Hello
This error known as Power Supply Fan error, if you are technical enough to handle this then go ahead and check the fan it may have loose connection or so, as you told the printer is new so i advise you to claim its warranty.
Hope this helps, Good Luck

I bought a 1997 jeep grand cherokee 2 years ago. Because of deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, this vehicle has been in storage for all that time. Should I have all the fluids (oil and gas) replaced...

if the vehicle was not started for 2 years, the engine may be stucked up. if it is not, the replacing the oil is ok. since 2 years is a long time you have to check everything.

I can't install ms office 2007, it needs onotelr.cab. can u plz help me solve this. tnx

If someone gave you a disk it sounds like you have a corrupted file. If it's a MSFT paid version you need to call them, they will send you a new copy. When people burn images of these programs, they often get corrupted unless you burn it on a slower speed, Also MSFT has put new security procedures for office in the last month , so if it's not a genuine MSFT version you will have problems. Try a good reg cleaner to remove the remnants of the prior install before re installing

Niether one of my Executive defenders nor my G2 will work and I have new batteries!!!

Strange how all the units have failed. Sounds like more of a battery problem. Are you using brand name batteries like Surefire, Energizer etc? I had two boxes of Chinese import batteries and most of them failed. I put them into a number of items and had problems. I stopped using them and opted to pay the extra for 'real' batteries. A bad battery can do more harm that just going flat. If it releases too much power when turned on because it isn't properly regulated it can fry the bulb or electronics in those things so equiped. Having said that the big companies also have sets of 'lemmon' batches too.

If you have spare globes. First try some other batteries. If it doesn't work then use those batteries and the new globe.
