No internet

  1. Turn on your Nintendo DSi and access your system settings by clicking on the wrench icon.
  2. Scroll over to the third page, and select "Internet."
  3. Now choose "Connection Settings."
  4. Click on "None" in "Connection 1."
  5. Then click "Search for an Access Point"
The system will then display the name of any wireless access point within range. If nothing shows up, try moving to another location.

If The access point has a gold, unlocked icon, tap the access point's name, and then "OK." The system will then establish a connection with your router.

If The access point has a gold, locked icon, the Nintendo DSi has detected WEP/WPA key security on your router:
  1. Tap the Access Point name.
  2. You can either enter your WEP Key, or click "Change Security Settings" to enter a WPA key.
  3. Tap "OK" again and the system will then establish a connection with your router.
If The access point has a gray, locked icon, the system has determined your router is set to WPA security. You need to access the Advanced Setup area of the system to connect with this security method.
  • Instead of tapping "None" in "Connection 1", click "Advanced Setup", then click "None" in "Connection 5".

My PSP internet connection not supported to my access point.

The SSID is the NAME of your Routers connection. So you need to know your WiFi connections Name, That's the "Access point" Security, Is IF you assigned a WEP/WAP KEY, when the router was first setup. If NO Key is set, that is what it means "Unsecured",
You need to get a Netgear router manual, for your exact model, it shows all in pictures how to do it.

About internet in my inntendo dsi

1. Click on the wrench icon on the main screen to go to system settings.

2. Go to internet (3rd page)

3. Click connection settings.

4. Where it says 'None' next to 'Connection 1' click.

5. Select 'Search for Access Point'.

6. Select the access point that comes up that is your internet connection.

7. If it asks for a security key you'll need to input this, if you don't know it it will either be on the bottom/side of the router listed as network or security key. If it is not there you will have to login to the router setup on the computer.

Brought a new laptop with wireless installed have a philips SNB5600 but have lost the security key how can i get the code

go to the wireless access point admin settings (not on your wireless adapter on your laptop). then check wireless security settings. if you see something there such as security key, that is the security key that you need to set up on your laptop. if security key is not visible, try to see if there is an option there which says unmask to show the security key, then copy it to your laptop. if all else fails, change the security key in the wireless access point and change all the wireless adapters that connect to it accordingly to the new security key you set it up.

Cannot get wireless connection to my laptop it works with the ethernet cable plugged in

You need to make sure you have the same settings on your wireless access point that you use on your laptop.

Make sure you spell your SSID (wireless network name) correctly. It is case sensitive.

Turn off security on your access point just to see if it works.
Configure your network card for Open access and turn off all other security settings.

Once you get it working turn on WEP encryption on your access point and create a wep key. Enter the same key on your Laptop.

Don't turn on stuff that you don't need or don't understand.

You just need to make it as simple as possible and then turn on adequate security.

If the WEP stuff just gets too hard you can use MAC security.
That is where you say only known computers can access the wireless network. On your wireless access point configuration add the mac address of every devices network card that will connect. Sometimes these settings can be a little hard to find on the access point.

Hope this helps.

Start simple and then make it complex :)

It connects to a unsecured net gear but wont to my linksys g i have a 16 diget key could this be the problem thanks barry

If your wireless adapter connects fine to an unsecured access point, but will not connect to your secured access point, the problem is in the security layer. Either you are not feeding your adapter the right key, or your adapter doesn't support the encryption type your access point is demanding.

Can't connect to configure password through web address

Here is what you can do. You need to access the setup page of your Dlink Access Point.
1. connect a computer directly to the access point (via ethernet). Then assign an IP address on the computer (IP: Subnet Mask DG: ). It is necessary for you to assign an IP address because your access point does not have the ability to assign an IP address to the a computer, its is not like a router.
2. After you assigned an IP address, you can now access the Dlink Access point's setup page. To do that open your browser in the address bar type (this is the address of your access piont) and it will ask you to put a username and password. Just type admin for both username and password field. And it will take you to the setup page of the access point.
3. To enable a wireless security, just click the tab on the left hand side that says Advanced, it will populate the options under Advanced and select security. On the main screen you will now have an option for security modem, you can select wpa-psk, then on the Key box you can type any password that you want (8-63 characters). Then click update there at the bottom of the page. If you also want to change the name that the Access point is broadcasting you can go to the on the left hand side that says Wireless and put any name that you want on the box that says SSID. After that click updat button again.
4. Now after updating the settings, You can reconnect to the network. And this time you will now be asked for the network key. Just type your network key. That's it.

Just reply to this post in case that you need more help.
