Mantis tiller 7222e

Hi anon, if it's starting your 2/3rds of the way there. You have fuel and spark. Try and clean the air filter first and if that fails to keep it running then check that the choke isn't staying out. If all thats ok then it may be the carb gaskets.

One screw is fuel and one is air, try turning the screws in all the way then open three turns and start from there.

We have a Mantis electric cultivator that won't start. it's only a couple of years old

Electric tiller, and it will not run ?
I would check the cord that you plug into.
You must remove the plastic housing, by removing the screws.
Next look at the plug, is it in good shape, has anything been pulled out of it ?
The motor brushes should also be inspected.
Please let us know, we repair all Mantis equipment.

Mantis 2 cycle - tines lose power.

I had this problem today. Loosen the flange bolt. Pull the engine off and check that the hex end of the shaft is lining up with the clutch pad in the engine-that it seats properly. Then make sure the shaft is seated all the way into the worm gear and put the engine back on. You will probably have to wiggle the shaft until it seats into the clutch. Tighten the flange bolt when the engine is seated flush with the worm housing (with no gap). That's all I did and the power is back up. Hopefully you still have your manual with the parts blow-up. (page 29?) BTW, have you checked that the wormgear is greased?

Mantis tiller sv-4 echo engine no spark from coil mantis 2cycle tiller i got it running tryed to start it 4hrs latter same old problem wont start, plug wet with gas wont start. coil was checked by shop...

Sounds like it's flooding either from over choking or the inlet needle in the carb is leaking. Have you removed the plug and blown out the cylinder and plug with air and then tried to restart? Be careful not to keep cranking with the choke pulled out. When it 'hits' ONE time, move the choke halfway in and crank again

Mantis to stroke start not very easy once it starts use for five minutes then it stops and doesn't start again I bought this from the ebay in February 2009 and I paid under £175 when I bought it the person...

either the choke is still on

or

the air filter is so dirty that it is acting like a choke

either way, replace your spark plug and air filter

if your air filter is foam, you can clean it in gasoline, just be sure to air dry it before refitting it and tring to run the mantis

the carburator can be dirty and or having the screws out of adjustment.

thy the spark plug and airfilter first
