Question about Tomtom RIDER GPS Devices

The screen is frozen on the legal notice menu.

The screen is frozen on the legal notice after i start it up ive turned it off and on and reset it but nothing changes it wont do anything when i press the i agree button. yours hopefully paul.

    I have had the same problem on two occasions. It occurs when the device battery is low.

    I have the same problem and the solution posed by irish druid didn't work.  The problem is that once the device is switched on it is frozen on screen with the details of the device ie "CPU ID, Checksum, Hardware type, etc".  It cannot be switched off nor does the computer recognise it as a compatible device.  Resetting does not help so i am at a loss how to fix it.

Screen won't respond


you need to turn it off ,
and hold the reset key down for 60seconds 
whilst the reset button is still pressed ,press power button.

if that does not still work , power up normally and hold the reset key for 60 seconds whilst it is powered up,even if it goes off do not rellease the reset button unitl 1 minute has passed

Waiting for valid gps signal


Try resetting your device. Depending on the model you have, this is done by either using the pin or holding down the power button for about 15 - 30 seconds. You'll know the reset has been successful when the legal agreement come up when it comes back on. Once this is done, go outside and on the device, go to the satellite detail screen and wait until several (about 4) of the bars are 75% or higher (they should change colors). You should go the the regular screen after that and you should be able to navigate again.

Tomtom does not respond to touching the screen. Sometimes a red X flashes on and off. I have tried to reset it. Makes no difference. Tried to go on the Tomtom website for repair instructions but it will...


i don't get the point.
Doesn't your touch screen work, or TT menu frozen?
If frozen menu, then update it to new version or older version.
if screen trouble, you need to get TT touchscreen calibrator. If you don't know, bring to waranty.

GPS 910 HAS FROZEN SCREEN


First, do a reset:

If no result, do a hard reset:
  1. Hold reset button pressed for approx 15 sec
  2. Press power button while pressing reset button
  3. Release reset button while still pressing power button
  4. Device should start, hold power button pressed until you see white text on screen, last line should read "RTC..."
  5. Release power button

Resetting Your c330
If your unit locks up, press the Power button to turn off the unit, then press again to turn the unit back on. If this does not help, reset your C330.
1. Place your thumb nail in the groove located under the Garmin logo on the face plate.
2. Gently pull off the face plate.
3. Press the Reset button.
4. Turn the unit back on; it will operate normally
