Question about Frigidaire Refrigerators

2 Answers

I just purchased a new Frididaire side by side. I've had it 4 days. It runs about 13 minutes and is off about 11 minutes. Is this normal? Seems like it shouldn't run so much.

For a new fridge, need more time to maintain the required temperature of the fridge and mainly the goods in it? So everything seems normal. The time will be reduced day by day since the goods will stay for longer time in and door opening will become less and less.

So don't worry everything seems fine.

Hello, I have a Tissot Veloci-T watch, purchased about 10 days ago, and I'm not sure if there is a mechanical problem or just merely a battery issue. The hour and minute hands do not sync up on...

The list of problems is impressive and if you still have the proof of purchase, it should go back to Tissot for repair or replacement. It shouldn't matter where you bought it, so long as you can prove that it is within the warranty period.

(It sounds as though it has been dropped onto a hard surface)

If you haven't got any proof of purchase, then you will have to pay for any repairs.

HI, I bought a new Whirlpool side by side and it seems to run 15 or so minutes and off for about 10 or son minutes..it seems to run allot more than my old one did, can you tell me if this is normal, I may...

Good day,
That is close to being normal. New High effeciency machines are run with a much smaller unit, and as a result, will run more. However the net is it will use less electricity.
It's an added bonus, since the temperature balance between the 2 compartments can be controlled better with more running time.

Thank you for using FixYa

Four years ago allan was three less than twice roys age in 5years allan will be 6yeras older than roy how old are they?

Allan is 19 and Roy is 13.

Solution:

First we have 2 variables, their ages: I used Allan = x & Roy = y
Equation 1: X - 4 = 2*(Y-4) - 3
We can ignore the 5 years in the second part of the statement. Allan will always be 6 years older than Roy whether it be 5 years from now or ten years form now.
Equation 2: X = Y + 6

Substitute Y + 6 for X in equation 1:
X - 4 = 2*(Y-4) - 3 becomes Y + 6 - 4 = 2*(Y-4) - 3
That simplifies to Y + 2 = 2Y - 8 - 3
Rewrite it again: Y + 2 = 2Y - 11
Add 11 to both sides: Y + 13 = 2Y
Subtract Y from both sides: 13 = Y

Now plug 13 in for y in Equation 2
X = Y + 6
X = 13 + 6
X = 19

Frididaire FRS26R4AW6 compressor is running...but

Clean all the dust and lint accumulation from under the unit, remove the condensation collection pan and clean it, and make sure the bottom fan is running.

I can't emphasize strongly enough how much of an enemy the accumulation of dirt and dust under a refrigerator can be its worst enemy. It can make the refrigerator exhibit symptoms of much more serious problems. Sometimes a good cleaning can have it operating like new with no real 'repairs' whatsoever.
