Updating Janome 10000

Bought a used Janome 10000 version 2.2 Wanted to upgrade to version 3.0. Loaded the software and connected the machine to my computer. It started to upload and got to 29 out of 65 and stopped. Tried it again on 2 different computers and same results. Now machine when turned on has blank screen. How can I get machine back to "normal" 2.2 version and out of upload mode so it's useable???

Did you purchase your 3.0 update from Janome? You might have gotten a corupted file if you downloaded it from some other source as Janome does not make the 3.0 update available for free.

You can download version 2.21 here: http://www.janome.com/UserFiles/mc10k221.exe . This one is freely available. Try to downgrade it using the download above to get your machine going again.

This link also has downloads for the Customizer or Digitizer updates, make sure everything matches with the 2.21 versions.

First make sure you have downloaded the correct 3.0 version from here:
http://www.janome.co.jp/e/e_downloads/software.html
If you are using Vista, then version 3.1 (Easy Transfer) is what you need.

You can download THIS file to revert to version 2.21

To get the machine out of upload mode, simply unplug the machine from the AC power supply and the PC. Wait about 5-10 minutes, and replug to AC supply and see if that helps.

If this works, I would appreciate it if you took a moment to "Accept" this solution. If not, please post back as to what you did, and I will try to help you out further, as best I can.

Thank you,
IrishDruid

Have you tried removing all power to the device for 5 minutes? This should reset it back to normal, if not, let me know and we can try a few other things.

Janome 10000 - driver for Vista

I am trying to help a friend who got Vista 32 bit OS and cannot use her transfer cable. She is on dial up so I thought I'd locate the driver and take it to her. I am having no luck finding it. She has her original machine CD but I did not find the driver there. She has no other software for embroidery. What's next?

Digitizer 2000 - Dongle ?

I'm going to assume that you mean the Digitizer 2000 software.

Unfortunately, your best bet will be to either wait and see if another copy (complete with dongle) shows up on eBay or upgrade to the Digitizer 10000 version (while Customizer 10000 is NOT compatible with the MC9000, Digitizer 10000 IS), either via your local dealer or snagging it on eBay.

Right now, there's two auctions on eBay for the Dig 10000. It seems to run roughly around $300-400.

Best of luck to you!

Janomi Digitizer 10000

Well, after some research, contact with Janome Technical support and some trial and error, it seems that my problems are caused by a conflict with Windows XP Service Pack 3. At this time, my options are to run without service pack 3 loaded on my computer OR I'm told I can upgrade to Digitizer Pro and get rid of these issues. Neither is a good option in my opinion. Running without service pack 3 loaded for Windows, causes lots of system issues for me, but I hate to spend the $400ish it will cost me to upgrade too! I'm not even sure my computer has enough "horse power" to run the new version anyway. Just thought someone might like to know my experiences.

MC 10000 Digitizer 10000 Error Message

Try downloading the updates for your software from Janome Global, downloads, software. Version 1 needs patches to make it compatible with XP. The most current Version for the 10000 software is 2.21, and the upgraded program is Digitiser pro/MB , a much more stable and far easier version to work with. The upgrade has to be purchased via a dealer or direct from Janome.

This must be wrong. As long as you have the dongle, and its an original one. Janome should swap it for a new one. You might have to pay for the exchange but it should be aloot cheeper than buying a new.

If not, send me an email on tonje (at) tonje . no and I will give you a good price for a new Digitizer Pro v.2.0

You need to have Customizer og Digitizer pro to send design by cable to you MC10001.

You can also use a PCMCIA adapter in your MC10001 and a CF memorycard..you also need a memorycard reader to write to your CF card from your computer
