SOURCE: Son put normal dish washing liquid in top draw!

Before starting the dishwasher again, kill the excess suds by putting half a cup of MILK into the dishwasher. Sounds strange but it works. If you don't kill the excess suds, they will keep coming back until they gradually flush out, which can take several washing cycles.

I have a ge profile washer and I get an e4 error code

Hello Lisa;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

You did not provide any information so I have to be general.

1.) I assume this is a clothes washer and not a dish washer?

2.) What is the model number? It should be on a label on the face of the unit after you open the door.

3.) The E4 error code on your model washer is an inlet valve failure. Does washer seem to fill up with hot and cold water at a steady rate?

WHY DOES LAMINATOR KEEP FLASHING E4

I called Swingline and they told me to unplug the machine for 45 minutes to an hour, and then try again. (This resets the machine supposedly.) If there are additional problems, I was told, you may have to look into warranties, etc.

Deloghi dw67s dishwasher, drain pump on continuously, showing E4 and no water in washer. What is used to detect the overflow?

Hello

There is a slight leak somewhere or the machine keeps overfilling causing the drain pan to activate via the flood switch.

remove all dish trays from washer, unscrew and remove lid off salt softener, almost and thoroughly remove as much excess water as you can, it could be the vacuum switch/water level float.. do the tip over again, and be sure you get it all,

replace all trays and softner lid and machine should work again.

Kenwood dish washer showing E4

Check the water inlet on the top of the dishwasher isn`t loose. It`s an easy fix if it is, just hold the inlet on top where the hose goes in and hand screw the plastic cap underneath thats inside the dishwasher. Mine done this and the water was pouring down from the top into the base, just follow the other tip for emptying the water from the base

Washing machine keeps stopping with an SE error code flashing on the screen

Hi tifffog, we have the same problem, is it a b1245, we've had ours over 3 years and ours started doing this on 23 Nov 09. alot of solutions say it needs a new pump. The bushes were fine on the motor, and if you need new bushes you have to buy the full motor. Have a look at the pump first.

Dishwasher is flashing error code e4

"E4" code relates to the overflow detector There appears to be an internal sump. Lean the machine back about 35-45 degrees to remove the excess water from the dishwasher. It might be messy so be prepared. By design the sump collects water from condensation i.e. (Cold outside machine wall, hot inside machine wall) hence condensation builds up and is suppose to and should evaporate in the right environment. Placement and installation locations play into a big part of the design.
You will notice by observation just in the centre there is a polystyrene float. This is what activates the overflow switch which throws the error code.
This probelm is simple to fix, just take off your kitchen plinth and turn off the dish washer power. then at the base of the dishwasher there are 2 plastic clip access panels, take a blunt screw driver or knive to help you ease out the plastic panel. once this is off, simple take a dish cloth out mop out the water, particularly from the left hand side as this is where the sensor is. Once dry (ish) replace the panels and switch on - DONE! its that easy

Kenwood Slimline Dishwasher KDW8ST2A

I have a Kenwood Kdw8st2a and have been constantly plagued by the E4 overfill error.

Lifting the front of the dishwasher and tilting it backwards seemed to clear the E4 error only for it to come back after the next wash.

I found eventually that the connection to the U bend under the sink was too narrow and was almost blocked hence the dishwasher was not emptying properly.

I disconnected the dishwasher waste pipe and ran the waste into a bucket for about 6 cycles and it worked fine.

Eventually drilled through the kitchen wall and fitted a lower direct waste pipe to the drain. Overkill maybe buit it hasn't done an E4 since.
