Question about Computers & Internet

I've got apackard bell laptop with windows vista. It was working fine this morning. Since turning on before it keeps coming up with the user profile error message. I've tried pressing f8 but that takes me no where. I'm not computer savy at all so advice which is simple would be great.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

White screen for only one user, others fine

I had a similar issue with client's laptop and it seemed that there is a conflict with a camera and updates to a profile on windows 7. To resolve, login to an admin account and create a replacement profile then log off and login the the new profile, before deleting the damaged profile you can transfer the info to the new replacement on windows 7 is under C:/users. To create and delete the profile you need to go to control panel and users, make sure you delete the entire profile just it's not a virus on it.

Why does my laptop not respond to internet or firefox,it keeps sticking and is unresponsive. ive tried the power, battery, removed history and cookies, defraggkes and cleaner to no AVAIL PLEASE HELP

Hi Janice,

I see that you have tried everything that may help fix the issue you are experiencing.

The only recommendation I can give you right now is to create a different user profile in windows and see if the issue will still occur on the new windows profile created, and if this happens possible that there is something wrong with the windows installation on your Computer.

To Create a new Profile in Widows regardless of what version you have, Follow the steps below:

Assuming that your Existing Windows profile is already Administrator got to
-Start Click on Control Panel
-make sure that is is in Classic View where you see all the icons and details. once you have the list showing
-click on users
-in users click on create new user this will give you the option to create a user and ask you if you want to copy all the files that your original file has to the new profile and also make sure that you make the new profile set to administrator as well, which I believe is needed just incase it works you can remove the old profile that was having issues.
-once you have created the profile it may take awhile to finish if you have a lot of files that need to be copied to the new profile.
-once the new profile is created, close all windows that are open and click start then Log-off user to be able to log-in to the new profile that was created.
once you've logged-in to the new profile test it and see if the same problem will occur like on the old profile you had if you think the issue is not happening anymore and that you are satisfied that everything is OK, check all your files first if they are all copied to the new profile created before deleting the Old profile with problems.

I hope that this will help? I cannot find any other options that could be causing your issues in the old profile except for a corrupt windows profile.

Have a nice day Janice,

I have packard bell note book and this morning logged on and it logged my off staright away and now i have no icons on my screen just a blue screen with the windows logo!! thanks

Your profile is corrupted . The easiest way to fix that is to reinstall Windows using the recovery cd that came with the notebook. If you have files that you can't lose then, before reinstalling, login as Administrator and copy all your files to an external memory stick.
How to login as Admin:
XP = press CTRL + ALT + DEL twice at the Welcome Screen and input your Administrator password (not your user one) in the classic logon window that appears.
Vista = http://maximumpcguides.com/windows-vista/logon-windows-vista-as-administrator/

Lost internet,

Are you on vista? This sounds a lot like a problem I had on windows vista. Instead of trying to fix windows vista, how about you uninstall it, throw it away, then buy either windows xp or windows 7 and be much happier.

I would like to introduce Windows Password Key 8.0 . it not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista Home Premium and Ultimate. It creates a password recovery CD/DVD,USB Flash Drive for home, business and enterprise. It works perfectly to reset your Windows password. The User Profile Service failed at login

Sounds like a vista problem. Have youtried to boot into safe mode? You can do that by oressing f8 during boot up and selecting safe mode from the menu.

If you can I would try to back up your docs, etc and maybe create a new user account.

There is also a boot repair in vista that I think comes up with the safe mode menu, so you might try that.

Hope this helps
