Question about Microwave Ovens

1 Answer

I got a faber 4 burner hob for my under constuction apartment. my technician told me that he will cut out a rectangle(of required dimension) from the granite counter top .my worry is that when this piece is cut out then will it harm the aluminium modular kitchen baskets underneath which are already placed and secondly the hobb will take all its weight on its rim ,as there will be no support left below it, so is it safe ?

You will be fine. No heat will be generated under the unit. The units are designed to be supported around the rim, usually only about 1/4" is required.

I have a problem with both my kuppersbusch ceramic gas hob GKE9851.OM 5 burner which has one burner that only lights on high and will not be turned down and my oven is one of those opthelmic or whatever...

unfortunately the oven is like a non stick fry pan
It still needs you to wipe over the surface after use
make a habit of using oven bags for cooking fatty foods as that saves the cleaning
as for the hob problem , get in a technician to fix the fault

I have a cata ceramic hob. the child lock has been engaged & is restricting operation of any of the 4 hob's

When you turn on the hobs main power, press the the rear left hand element pad at the same time and the lock will come off.

press the centre minus button and the bottom right plus button at the same time it will work if not keep trying
You have to hold down the centre sensor button with the minus on and the sensor which turns on the bottom right ring immediatley after turning the hob on. It should unlock, then press the minus again
the hob switchs off
when you now switch on there will be no lock

When one of the gas hobs is on ,it does not burn with a blue flame but a more yellow one .also black soot forms under the burner is on lpg

Have to adjust the piolot lights for the amount of gas coming out. U have too much gas coming out(yellow flame). On older gas ranges, there was a small screw between the piolot light & burners that had to be adjusted. (if this is a older model) have to turn the screw just a little at a time, till ur flame returns to blue on ur burners. Hope this helps.

I have an older kitchenaid 30-inch cooktop - Model number KGCS100S. I want to replace it and need to know the size of the existing cut-out. I can't get a measurement without a lot of extra work and...

Unfortunately, the cooktop you have is no longer in production, and even if i give you the dimensions of the cooktop, the cut - out is not a standard size, some people like to make a more spacious cut - out, where others give it a tight fit.

Best way of knowing is to unscrew the screws and lift out the top and measure the dimensions yourself.

I really hope this can be of help, please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards

I Have a GE Micro JVM2070. When I boil water on the stove the water vapor shorts out the Micro. It then turns it self on or doesn't work at all. If I unplug it it might work in a few days.

One would think that you would have the sense to use the extractor that is above your stove and under your microwave, would you use a laptop in a sauna!!! no wonder the thing is shorting out. Contact the person who fitted the microwave. always use the extractor when you boil things on the hob.
I live in England it is illegal to have a microwave above a hob for this exact reason. America will catch up eventually with building regulations!!

Matag under oven microwave

You'll have to remove and/or modify the frame & existing mounting plate as required, which may require some amount of cutting and drilling too.

The dimensions of the mount that the new one needs will be detailed in your installation instructions.

If for some reason you don't have yours, you can download Maytag (made for Whirlpool by L.G.) owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
