You need to add some drying agent to your dish washer, it helps them to keep from being cloudy. I do not think it is a mechanical problem.

My dishes are cloudy and all the glassware and pans are cloudy and striped with detergent. I have tried 2 times to use a dishwasher cleaner, yet the problem remains. Any solutions?

Hi,

The scum, film and white residue problems have started since the reduction of phosphates in dishwasher detergents.

Cloudy film left on all dishes and glasses. How do I remove the film?

Buy a gallon of white vinegar and rewash your dishes this time add 1/4 of a gallon of vinegar in the water with no soap just vinegar and water.... Also check and see if the dishwasher is completely draining you may have another problem that the dishwasher is not completely draining and you are washing with dirty water...... check the screen in the bottom of the dishwasher and the spray arm to see if they are clean and open...... I have used vinegar in my dishwasher and it has taken the cloudy film off... You may have to add it a couple of more times if you have a real bad build up......
I also use cascade complete dishwashing soap and has helped the problem with the cloudy film.

Dishwasher seems to run for a very long time on normal cycle. It leaves a whitish residue on dishes and the glasses appear cloudy. I do use a rinse agent.

Film on dishes and inside dishwasher

Hi debstone

This is a common problem. what you should do first is pick up some GLISTEN and run it through on a full wash with NO dishes. the use electasol POWDER detergent and turn your jet dry down to 1. that should fix your problem. hope this helped
