If you can get in with administrator privileges, you would go to Control Panel, Users or Manage User Accounts, select target account and disable it or delete it. Exact procedures will depend on OS version you are using.

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How to change user ID & domain ID in HP Probook 4530s?which appears when you switch on your laptop..

Start > Control Panel > Search for "System" and click on it > On the left, click on Advanced System Settings > Click the Computer Name tab > Click the Change button > Click the Domain radio button > Add the domain name.

You will need to be a memeber of the domain admin group, on your server, to perform this operation. When you go to log back in, it should have the domain you entered, selected.

Can't sign on. IT says password invalid on the domain

You shouldn't be signing on to a domain. Check your network settings.

If there is a drop down window when the password screen appears see if you can change the domain. Try hitting CTRL+ALT+DEL and see if it allows you to sign bypassing the domain.

You need to login as Administrator and create a new user or change the way the existing user is setup. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice at the login screen. Userid = administrator password = (leave blank) If XP Home, boot to Safe Mode by pressing F8 during boot then login as Administreator above. To create a new user goto Start / Settings / Control Panel / USer Accounts To change existing user settings goto Start / Run / enter control userpasswords2. Click on Advanced tab then Advanced button. If all fails you can just reinstall windows.

There is no room to enter a domain.

Hi,
I'm assuming that the operating system is XP.

Log in to your account as you usually would. Right click on My Computer and select Properties from the list. Click on the Computer Name tab. Where it says "To rename this computer or join a domain" click on change. A new window will pop up so click on Workgroup. In the typing plane if it say's MSHOME, delete that and type WORKGROUP make sure you type it in uppercase (capital letters).
When you've done that click OK.
The computer will tell you that you have to restart the computer for the changes to take effect so please restart the computer.

Once the computer has restarted you can check if the domain has changed to WORKGROUP.

Please post back if you need anymore help.

Regards.

How do i change the configuration from domain to work group

even if you mistakenly joined a domain you can still log in through your existing id and password.
Once your press CTRL+ALT+DEL, you will see a login window with three fields namely: user id, password and Domain.
In the log in screen use the drop-down menu in front of Domain (which shows your new domain- most likey MSHome) and choose 'this computer'. After this, enter your old/existing user id and password and hit enter.
Please proceed to your system settings and change your domain back to Workgroup. Restart PC.

ACER 5610 DENIES ACCESS TO DVD DRIVE

it sounds like you do not have account rights and since this is a firm laptop you may not be authorized to do with your domain login. Any changes made would effect the local hardware info and not your domain permissions which might be the root cause of the issue. Is anyone else in your group having the same issue? If so it would be a domain issue and not something able to be handled outside your firm.

You can verify this by try trying this see if you can go to a dos (command 'cmd' prompt) from start>run>typing in cmd and clik on 'ok'
the type net user and press enter
take a name like administrator if listed or another name (the point of that is to see what names are listed) and type
net user {whatever name without the brackets of course} *
you will be prompted for a password twice
then restart the pc and when you come to the login change the domain to the local pc and use the login name and password you just selected once there see if you can access any of the drives. If so then the issue is with your domain permissions or scripts and not your system or id.

Problem

When you install a server operating system at that time it will ask you that how many maximum clients you want to attach this server so by default its 10 ,that means you can attach maximum of 10 clients , you can increase or decrease the no of computer you want.

Firstly you have to decide whether to add clients in workgroup mode or Domin mode..in domain mode you have the centralised management on the computer .so select domain level mode .
now to make clients either you can make 5 user in active directory user and computer.
1:Go to Administrative tools > Select Active Directory Users and computers > Select user on the left side > right click on that and select new user > now follow on screen instruction to make a user > now make other 4 user also in the same mannner. Now when you are logged on with local user on the clients select my computer > right click and Select properties > select my computer tab >now click change button to make client work with domain type only domain name for eg if your domain is contoso.com ,> type their only contoso > now a box will appear asking you for administrator and password enter domain controller pc password ,it will ask you to restart > after restart user can login at the client computer...
Or:

just login with local user at client computer Right click my computer > and do the same procedure ,after restarting you can login with your server name administrator and password .
