SOURCE: i have the dm10 studio

Realize first that your "instant" is like eons to the electronics where billionths of a second count... This is an interesting set of symptoms. I would connect one of the other devices to one of the tom inputs and see if the snare acts the same using that devicee. Also try to characterize how much ahead or behind the snare hit the tom hit can occur and have both sound. This problem MAY be embedded in either the electronics or the firmware in the module. It could be an electrical noise issue or any of several other things. I want you to try this using ONLY headphones and NO amp... this is to isolate the possibility that the vibrations of the snare by the amp may be triggering anti-noise gate in the snare circuit. These are some more tests I want you to do the above and give me the results.

How do I program snare pad to sound like a clap?

That would depend on the make/model of the pad and of the sound source, but in general, just asign the pad trigger out note number to match the clap sound note number on your sound source.

Is the 9ch snake cable correctly connected? TOM 3 should be plugged into the 4th input and TOM 1 should be plugged into the 2nd input. (1- SNARE, 2 -TOM, 3 -TOM, 4-TOM, 5-RIDE, 6-CRASH.........)

A weak snare is a characteristic of these... The triggers are typically piezo discs that were often used in musical cards but those have now gone to using very flat little speakers... You may find some have been dislodged or broken loose... worth a look inside.

I have the Simmons SD9K electronic drum kit. I really love it, but I have two seperate issues. First, I sometimes get a snare pop out of the blue while playing a beat and sometimes just after I stop...

With the sensitivity set very high, you might be getting false triggers from static discharges. It sounds like your snare trigger is either bad or possibly the cable from it may have a problem as you should NOT have to set the sensitivity so high.
It will take an oscilloscope to test the pad unless you can find a system to do a sensitivity comparision. The second problem regarding the recording/overdubs I cannot help you solve.

I'm trying to use the pads of my Yamaha DTXplorer drum kit as triggers for the sounds stored on my Alesis SR-18 drum machine. I have seen that Alesis markets a trigger module of their own which they...

you need to determine what midi note the DTXplorer is using for the snare, kick and 3rd tom, and set the SR-18 accordingly, or vica-versa. the midi notes for each instrument has to be the same.

if you cannot change the midi note in either unit to make them correspond, you can download a "midi mapper" program (i think e-drum might be one), there is freeware available if you search CNet. with a midi mapper program, you would have to get a midi/usb adapter for your computer and rouite the midi signal through a computer. midi mapping software allows you to change the midi note, when the hardware itself is incapable of doing so.

You can not play these drums live the spill of the fold back drum fill bin sets of the snare trigger ive turned down the sens on the red box still doesnt work a big waste of money i need to talk to...

With this kit being acoustic-electric, the only advice I can give is to disconnect your snare trigger and mic the snare. It's either that, or your snare trigger is faulty. A new trigger is going to cost about the same as mics, but mics won't hit your snare, making you sound inexperienced. For miking the snare, you'll want to get two mics, placed on the top and bottom head. Try to position them on the same spot on the rim to avoid voicing problems. Studio drummers do the same thing when recording.

For playing this way live, you'll want to use either the main PA, or run to a separate mixer so you can control the volume of the snare in relation to the rest of the kit.

Hope that helps!

When i use my epro live drums on live gigs i sometimes get no sound when i hit the pads specialy the snare pad

Hi,
Not used this kit inparticular, but if there is a main "brain" or sound mudule, check sensitivity settings. If not, take the pad to the store where you got it as the internal sensor may have gone, or the link lead may be faulty.
