Why are side sliding doors difficult to open and close without using the button?

The door tracks are greased at the factory . By now, the grease in the tracks of your 2005 Montana has disappeared or become contaminated. Also, the rollers have become contaminated with dirt. Cleaning and regreasing of both tracks and rollers should result in a marked improvement.

How do I fix a bi-fold closet door that came off the track

I'm guessing that you are referring to the wheel guide on the floating panel. You may have to remove the door completely in order to re-install it. At the pivot points (upper & lower) next to the jam; the upper one may or may not be spring loaded, the bottom one is threaded usually with a beveled head with teeth on it. You'll need a flat-bar or someone to lift up on the door as you thread the pivot bolt back into the door, allowing enough play to pop it off of the seat plate. The bi-fold will have to be open(the panels flat across). Tilt the bottom of the doors out, this will allow you to re-set both the upper pivot in its bracket and the guide roller on the floating panel in the track at the same time. Re-position the doors in the opening with the lower pivot over its bracket and re-adjust(thread down) the lower pivot until it holds the door up in the track. (Take care as to the position of the lower pivot in its bracket as it also adjusts the clearance for the door to swing/pivot next to the jam!!) {The upper pivot bracket(in the track) can also be adjusted for closeness to the jam}. It is important that these pivot points be plum(straight up& dn) They can cause the bi-fold to tilt; or cause the roller guide on the forward door to either move up, or dip down as it travels out to the open position.

Driver window will not work.

You need a small piece of aluminum foil ( like inside paper of a box of cigarette ) . Fold it somehow to become same size as the connection or a little bit biger. Put it between them. You should open the thing that make windows go up & down from the door and find the connection place. But watch to not destroy the wire. It is easy. I am not sure if I explain it enough. But it worked for me.

It seems like the sliding door, which is manuel on the passenger side opens and closes real rough, like th bearings are freezing up. this is a 2000 Grand caravan sport. What do I do?

Vacuum out the lower track where the door connects to the bottom of the van, the upper track at the top and the track below the back window. Check all the tracks for any objects that shouldn't be there like rocks, leaves etc. Once clean, apply Lithium Grease to all three tracks (can be found in the automotive section). Open and close the door several times and then reapply grease. If it continues to be difficult to open and close, the door may not be riding in one of the tracks properly.

Passenger side door opens about 6 inches and stops. Push it further and it will continue to open. When it closes it stops at the same point, about 6 inches short. Push it to close and it will finish...

I had a door doing the same thing. My issue was that one of the wires in the plastic track that folds up was damaged. Basically, as the plastic track folded up to where there was a cut in the wire, the copper inside the plastic insulation pulled apart. Once you were past that point in the wire (where the door stops), the copper came back together and the door operated again.

Remove the hinge pins and you can use a hammer to put a slight bend in them. Tap them back in place.

I backed n2 my husband toyota and dented the

If you haven't already solved this, Start at the rear corner light. Next to the liftgate there are two plastic covers to open with a flat screwdriver. Remove the two phillips screws and pull light straight back firmly to remove the light. Let it hang. Remove the two phillips screws holding the metal track cover behind the light on the side of the van. Open the door, and remove one track cover screw with a 10 mm socket at front of cover looking back in door jam. Close door and slide track back about an inch and then pull straight out from the side of the van revealing slider track. Hope this helped

Bottom freezer door moves top to bottom by moving handle in & out

Hi, most models have adjustment screws near the track connected to the door if this is a slide out door. If this is a swing out door, you might be able to twist the door back in shape.
If the gap is only in the corner of the door, try inserting a piece of paper towl rolled/folded up behind the gasket to help stretch it.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
