Problem with the touchpad

Hey!

Everything works fine on my laptop except for the touchpad. The touchpad works fine but when I plug in the power cord tocharge the computer, the mouse starts going haywire every time I try tomove it around. Does any of you know what the cause could be?

My touchpad doesnt work, i have to use an external mouse to browse through my toshiba laptop. I once dismantled it and when I put it together, everything worked well except for the touchpad

i heard that the touchpads are UV ray sensitive,, if you expose them to sunlight for very long time, they will lose their sensitivity...or else you just check the driver for it for its working properly or not..

Built in mouse has not worked properly from day 1. Now my external mouse won't work either. I tried a different external moue, but it doesn't work either.

Unplug everything except the power cord, including the following:

Speakers
Printers
Scanners
USB devices
Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs)
USB flash drive or other external storage devices
External Monitor
External Keyboard
External Mouse
If your computer is attached to a docking station, undock it.

Make sure the touchpad or your finger has no dirt, grease, liquids or food on it (the touchpad has to make a good contact with your finger to work correctly).

Turn the computer back on and retest the touchpad.

When the touchpad still does not work correctly proceed to step 5.

When the touchpad does work correctly, attach one external device at a time and test the touchpad to see which one may have caused the issue.

Make sure the latest driver for the touchpad is installed (you may need to use a external USB or Bluetooth mouse), for more information refer to:

Touchpad Not Working

If you has been installed the right drivers, it is hardware problem.
Try to use the factory touchpad program for your sony touchpad and see what happen (not only the driver, also the program touchpad software)

Cursor stops working when power cord is plugged in...

It sounds as if the power coming through your ac adapter may be causing interference with the touchpad, meaning perhaps an electrical signal is crossing into your mouse or disrupting its signals.

You could try to download the latest drivers for your touchpad and see if that fixes the issue.

You should also (if you haven't already) try a different mouse to see if the issue is related to the mouse sub system, or the touchpad itself.

If possible, try a different AC Adapter to see if that may be the issue.

Keyboard/touchpad freezes when the battery is plugged!!

I SOLVE THIS ISSUE 100% WORKING
THE MAIN PROBLEM IS ON THE CONTACT BETWEEN THE BATTERY WIRES AND LAPTOP
IF YOU MOVE THE BATTERY IT WILL WORK SO SURE THE PROBLEM WITH THE LINK BETWEEN THE BATTERY AND THE LAPTOP
SOLUTION : TO MOVE THE IRON OUT OF THE LAPTOP TO THE RIGHT TILT THEM TO RIGHT SIDE A LITTLE BECAUSE THE BATTERY WIRES IS TO THE RIGHT SIDE (WATCH THEM) NOT IN THE MIDDLE AND AFTER THAT PUT A STICK ON THE BATTERY TIGHTED IN ITS PLACE SO IT WILL NOT MOVE ITS NOT FREEZING NOW THANKS
