Two things that seem to help me when i dropped my phone in a sink was putting it in the freezer over night and then plugging it into my computer. after that it worked fine for the most part, just a little slower when I turned it on.

Hello, im sorry to hear that it went swimming.

Try this:
1. Clean extra water off (done)
2. Take battery out and do not charge
3. Put the phone somewhere warm (low humidity)

4. Then just wait 2-4 days until it has dryed and hope it works.

Hope it helps even little, wish you luck.

DROPPED IN WATER, ASKED TO DOWN LOAD

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
A more wider picture of the scenario will be highly appreciated.. If the unit is dropped in water, then there are maximum chances of the main board to be gone bad with the solvent particles... In cases, the unit works OK for a particular period of time, and then it starts crashing/ mal functioning... A permanent fix would be removing the battery from the unit, and then servicing the device, with CTC or any other solvent, available for cleaning electronic devices.

Concerned.

I dropped my phone and it could not on now

Due to hazard some phones are not working. If you dropped in water try with this steps.
  • Use cotton swabs to soak up water in crevices and on any fragile, exposed circuits. If you have dropped your cell phone in water, it is also helpful to disassemble it if you can and let all the parts dry separately.
  • If the phone will turn on, you can try to make a call to be sure it is working properly. If you put your water damaged cell phone back together and it won't turn on, it is likely that some water has gotten down inside the phone.
If dropped in floor, please bring it to service center for repair.

Button to turn op the volume of Samsung Star doesn't work..

Hello Sir, Have you tried to increase manually ?? If you are talking about the volume increasing option through the Screen then its a software problem. You can increase it via the up and down button on the left-side top area. Come to the main screen or idle screen and press the up button. If you are having problem to operate or the button is not working then its stuck or connection is loose. Please go to a Samsung dealer or Service Center to replace or repair it.
Thank you Sir, Have a nice day.

Phone won't turn on

Some of the chips or components, are loose inside, especially the memory chip, What I did, I reheat the board with hot air gun or if you don't have hot air gun use a hair dryer and set it to the highest setting and blowdry your cellphones board for 3minutes, then let it cool and reassemble it then try turning it on. but for you try this, go to your store where you purchase coz, it still have warranty ok.
