How long have you had your Sim Card? It may simply have expired and you'll need a new one if that's the case. You should hurry to the nearest store your provider has, promptly tell them the issue you're having, and quickly hand them the phone with your proof of purchase (receipt and/or packaging).
Hopefully your phone is still within warranty or covered by insurance just in case the problem isn't the Sim Card itself or the issue has had a negative impact on your device. There isn't much you can do regarding this issue by researching online unfortunately.
For future reference, a new phone with an old Sim Card usually leads to this result. It isn't a buying decision issue, it's just unfortunate timing so don't worry. It's possible, however, you may be charged for the new Sim Card if this is indeed the problem. Jostling the Sim Card outside of the phone can cause harmful scratches that can also lead to this problem. Be sure to avoid removing the Sim Card if possible in the future.
