Question about Electrolux Dishwashers

2 Answers

We purchased an Electrolux Dishwasher Model #EWDW6505GBO, installed on 8/3/10, and we are very dissatisfied with it, as it just does not wash the dishes clean. We have had G.E. Dishwashers, two, since 1961, and then a Bosch, and they have all worked well. It appears that the water is not getting to the top and/or properly rinsing them. We rinse everything prior to putting the dishes in, but coffee cups come out with the ring around the top. The soap doesn't fully disolve. We have tried double soap, different kinds of soap, both liquid and granular, and all different settings; normal, heavy, high water temperature, etc. We purchased the most expensive machine thinking it would be the best, and it should be. Coiuld this be defective machine, and if so, could a replacement be arranged. The machine was purchased and installed through Lowes, in Hudson/Greenport, New York. Our phone Number is 518-851-9921. My wife would appreciate a call from a service rep. to further discuss this problem. Thank-you for your concern. Frank Starkes

Finding contact information, especially a phone number, for Electrolux corporate is quite a bit more difficult than we expected. We managed to finally find an Electrolux headquarters website for the US that listed both the phone number and address for the corporate office.

  • Customer service: 1-866-449-4200
  • Fax: 1-704-547-7401
  • Electrolux Appliances: 1-877-435-3287
  • If you are interested in learning more about Electrolux products, you can visit the Electrolux USA website at http://www.electroluxusa.com. There you will find links to all the appliance websites and the corporate website for Electrolux. The address for the corporate website is http://group.electrolux.com/en/. You cannot purchase the Electrolux appliances from the official website, but you can learn all there is to know about the product. If you have a question about an Electrolux product, you can contact the corporate products department using a contact us page on the corporate site.
  • From the information you have provided, the dishwasher should work as long as there is plenty of water pressure available and the orifices where the water is spraying are not stopped up (with calcium deposits). For whatever reason, the water pressure is being restricted or the arm that spins the water to direct it to the top of the machine cabinet inside may not be working properly.

Model EIDW6305GSI error code 03 comes on after about an hour after cycle starts could anybody tell me why this happens thanks

Good Morning steven hutchings, thanks for your inquiry!

I understand that your Electrolux dishwasher is displaying an error code 03. Normally, error code 03 means an issue with the wash motor, wash motor hall sensor, or control panel. I would suggest performing a reset on your dishwasher that could help clear any false error codes. You can reset your dishwasher by flipping the household circuit breaker in the off position for ten minutes. If you continue to have an issue with your dishwasher displaying an error code 03, I would recommend having a professional technician come out and properly diagnosis your dishwasher. This will help to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

Our Electrolux dishwasher is flashing lights. Husband took off kick plate like instructed and saw that it said wash pump was bad. Question is Is it worth fixing or is that an expensive repair ?

Good morning friend, thank you for your post!

Based off the information you are providing the wash pump on your Electrolux dishwasher is bad and you are wondering the cost of the repair. I could provide you the price of a new pump as far as having this electrical component replaced I would recommend you speak with a professional about install. One must be very careful as these replacements parts can lead to potential harm if installed improperly. Additionally to look up the part information I would need to have your model number. You can locate your serial tag (which lists your model number) on the right side as you open the door of your appliance. I look forward to providing you additional assistance. -Matt

How to remove large food particle trap in a electrolux dishwasher model # EWDW6505GBO

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you want to know how to remove large food particles that are trapped in your Electrolux dishwasher, model# EWDW6505GB0. First, I would suggest that you scrape away large pieces of food before putting any dish in your dishwasher.

Your dishwasher is equipped with a state of the art wash system. Periodically, the Glass Trap Filter and Large Food Particle Trap may need to be cleaned to maximize wash performance. The Glass Trap Filter is located in the center of the Large Food Particle Trap. The Glass Trap Filter is designed to collect pieces of broken glass, straws, bones and pits. To remove items in the Glass Trap Filter, grasp the handle, lift out, empty and replace. Hope this is helpful.

Electrolux EX600 Dishwasher loosing power during wash cycle

Hi dan76n - Typically PF appears in the display when the dishwasher is first installed, or when power has been interrupted. HI-TEMP WASH, SANITIZE and START/CANCEL backlighting will also flash. To clear, touch START/CANCEL pad. If it proves to be ineffective, once again try resetting the dishwasher by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes, restart unit and select a cycle. If the problem continues, the dishwasher could possibly be experiencing a wiring failure or faulty board. At this point I will highly recommend connecting with a certified technician for a further diagnosis and to accurately assist with the repair(s).
