Under the bottom of the unit. There will be a small panel, held with one or two small screws.

How to install memory to my Acer Aspire 570 G Notebook PC

Most laptops have a panel on the bottom of the laptop that provides access to the RAM memory slot/s. Remove this panel to reveal the RAM slot, Insert a RAM module that is the same make and model as the original one.
If your laptop has a single 512Mb RAM module then add another 512Mb of RAM to increase the total RAM to 1Gb.

I didnt use my laptop Acer Aspire 5517 for like 2weeks, when i had to turn it on it started with a continuous beep while loading BIOs. then stops at final start up.

Hello, From the problem you have stated, once there is a continous beep on a system or laptop, majorly it is a RAM problem, RAM means random access memory.Since you said it is making that noise, you can remove the RAM, clean it pins and re-insert it properly into its slot,if the problem persist then you need to get a new RAM,not just anyone, the one that is supported by your laptop. How do i install a memory ram on my computer acer 5050

I don't know your model laptop, but most laptops have one or two memory slots on the bottom of the laptop behind a panel. Remove the panel to reveal the RAM slot/s.
When installing RAM, say 1Gb when there is two 256Mb RAM modules, then you need to replace the existing RAM with two 512Mb RAM modules. Make sure the new RAM is the same speed as the original RAM or faster RAM.

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if it's possible to have a 512MB RAM and a 1GB RAM in my laptop (Acer Aspire 3634WLMi) at the same time or if you have to have two of the same... Thanks for your help! :-)

Hi,

The laptop support 2GB of ram. There are 2 banks for ram each supporting 1GB each.

Of course if you want to install 512MB in there you can although having matched memory is always a good thing. For example 2 sticks running at 400MHz (PC3200).

Regards.

How to Upgrade to max RAM

The Acer Aspire One can be upgraded to a total RAM of 2Gigs. This will allow for you to upgrade to Windows XP Pro and also to Microsoft Office 2003 as there is no version of Office Professional. If you would like more specifics on your particular model, please look here. http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptops/acer-aspire-one-10-inch.aspx?page=3

Upgrading RAM is a fairly simple process. As this is a fairly compact laptop in design, you will have to upgrade to a new 2Gig RAM module and basically discard (or sell) the one you end up removing. In order to find out the type of RAM you'll need, remove the cover as show in the picture and the info for the existing RAM should be written on it.

Good luck!

I am wanting to instal more RAM into a Laptop "Acer Aspire 3503". Where is the RAM situated? What panels need to be removed? Regards Ron

Hi ,Your laptop memory is found directly below the keypad. So you guest right-you will have to remove the keypad to get to the memory. When you flip the laptop over you will find the keypad screws marked with small keypad immages.Make sure you find them all and do NOT force the keypad off. Some keypads are also locked at top of the pad looking from the front. You can release them with a small screw driver. Also take great care not to rip the keypad cable open or off when you lift the keypad up and downwards-it has a lock peace securing it in the connecting socket, which you must lock again when you re-install the pad. Also remember not to touch the copper connections of the memory cards during the installation process.{static electricity of your body will damage the electronic gates on the card, rendering it useless. The memory clips in place and is locked on the sides, which you have to release before slipping the old cards out.If you are only adding a card, make sure it lock into place.Regards Georgeo
