My kismac opens in safari, how do I get it to open in its own page,ie kismac file edit channel ect? from this I can select file preferences.

Hi.

KisMAC is ordinarily listed in Applications, like any other installed app.
If KisMAC does not appear in applications, then reinstall the program following the directions in the provided links (you may need to install XCode and SVN client separately).

To open preferences:

a. Open KisMAC.app from Applications
b. Click KisMAC->Preferences
You can also open preferences by pressing COMMAND + COMMA hotkeys at any time.

If that does not work, reinstall Kismak following directions below:

KisMAC Compilation & Installation HowTo

How to instal KisMAC in Pasv mode (useful).

If you still get troubles there may be a problem with MacOS, try uninstalling KisMAC, updating Mac OS, then install KisMAC again.

I locke my touchpad unknowingly, how can i unlock i t?

By default, it should be off when you plug your mouse in. Here are instructions on turning it on. Check this preference file and see if it is set at "0." The file may be corrupt.

1. First, you need to modify a "hidden" preference file. To show hidden files, use a free utility like OnyX.

2. Once you can see hidden files, navigate to your User preference folder and look for .GlobalPreferences.plist. Note the file has a "." in front of it to signify it's hidden.

HD > User > Library > Preferences > .GlobalPreferences.plist

3. Open that preference file with a text editor and find "com.apple.mouse.ignoreTrackpadIfMousePresent" and change the valuse from 1 to 0.

4. Log out and log back in. You should be all set to use the trackpad again.

Powering my car audio system

You need to have an alternator capable of putting out 200 amps. I would run 0, or 1/0 power wire and a 0 or 2 ground. Deep cycle batteries preferably two ran in parallel and a 2 Farad capacitor.

Here are the settings:

These settings will also work for Cable or Dish hookups, in which case you may change the Noise Reduction option to Medium to reduce signal noise.
