Nintendo ds only plays certain games.

Have 3 ds lites for kids, all were fine, then the newest stopped playing certain games, those games still work on the other 2 machines.

My son's ds also stopped playing certain games. All though, sometimes, they will play if you try long enough inserting them and removing them. It is quite frustrating. This problem happens most often with brain age and mario....I even bought a new one and had the other one packaged to send back, but I am not sure I need to now....any help?

Try, Buying an action replay

put the game INSIDE the action replay. then when it comes to the main menu hit "start"(if it works your son/daughter also has cool cheats!) and if that doesnt work try calling nintendo

Do DS plays GBA games ?

Yes, but only on DS/DS Lite. There is a small panel at the front of the console on the bottom. Open it up and there is a slot. You may need to blow a little in it. Then on the menu, press a certain button (Sorry, can't remember what it says) and it will say something along the lines of 'Play GBA game'. Simply insert your game and press the button. Hope this helps.

DS lite only playing one type of game

Reset Factory Settings for Nintendo DS 1. Use a small screwdriver to unscrew the back cover.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Wait a few seconds.
4. Replace battery.
5. Turn on DS.
6a. If you have to re-enter your nick-name/time and date etc, it has worked! Go to 7.
6b. If not, remove the battery again and wait longer.
7. Replace cover and screw back in place.

Nintendo DS Lite

Step 1 Look on the game’s packaging for the "Multiplayer" icon. If the game requires only one player to have a copy of the game, the icon will show two DS Lites: a DS Lite with a black screen transmitting waves to a DS Lite with a white screen. Below the two DS Lites is a range of numbers which indicates how many players the game can support.
Step 2 Put the game card in the Nintendo DS Lite that is acting as the host for the multiplayer game session and start it up.
Step 3 Have the other players turn on their systems. They will use the main menu screen to access the "DS Download Play" icon. They need to tap the icon to begin downloading the game information from the host DS Lite.
Step 4 Begin playing when all of the systems have finished downloading the game information from the host.
