Re: Sound Card Problem
Click on start go to control panel
click on sound and audio devices
make sure that the mute option does not have a check mark next to it
and put a check mark in the box which says place volume icon in taskbar
click on apply
then check if you get a volume icon and do check the sound

Aspire One AOA110-1588 has 1gb of memory if u perform multitasking then it won't perform good.so u need to wait until it buffer or perform single task and try.it clearly shows that memory is not enough to perform.
1) Make sure your sound is not muted and that the volume is up. You can check volume settings through the Windows control panel. 2) Make sure Windows knows the sound device is present. Use the device manager to check for errors on devices related to the sound. 3) Visit www.hp.com, where you can download the sound drivers required for the computer and your version of Windows. Sound problems are often solved by reinstalling a new copy of the drivers.
Sounds like you need to go to the manufacturer of your sound card and get the drivers specifically for your sound card and XP.The drivers that you loaded from the other machine are incompatable.Thats what is causing the partial functionality of your sound card. Also make sure you have it configured properly.
