Was the card formatted in the camera or the computer? (should be the camera). Download any pics from the card using a card reader if necessary and then format it in the camera.

Why is my camera going round and round in circle when trying to format my memory card?

I'm suspecting that you are trying to use a new 4GB or larger SDHC card with your older model camera. Please note that your model camera can only use 2GB or less standard SD cards (and NOT SDHC). 2GB SD cards are inexpensive, and still available on Amazon.com if your local store no longer carries them.

I have a Polaroid i1032 10.0 megapixel camera. the user guide says that i can use up to a 1 gb SD memory card. I've used a 2 gb SD card and it works fine. My question is can I use SDHC cards 2 gb, 4 gb, 8...

At the time your camera was made, 1GB was the max size standard SD card. Then along came 2GB standard SD, but this card also used the same format as previous cards, so yes it also worked in your camera. Now SDHC is a very different format with different file handling (although externally it looks exactly the same). I'm sorry to say, it is very unlikely that SDHC will work with your camera. Here on Fixya you'll see many folks asking why the brand new card they just bought doesn't work with their older camera. 9 time out of 10, this is the reason why.

Did you remember to format the card in the camera before using it for the first time? Is the slide switch on the side in the "unlocked" position?

New camera, new 2GB SD card. Cannot store pictures to SD card. Get message "No Files Exist" when pressing PLAYBACK.

Did you format the new card in the camera before you tried to use it? If you used the internal memory of the camera, make sure you format that with no card in the camera first.

You can either use a separate card reader to download to your computer, or , take the card to a Walmart store and insert the card into a Kodak Picture Kiosk machine and print the pics or make a cd of them. Then, format the card in the camera.

Cannot seem to get my camera to work

The specifications on page 25 of the User's Manual state that only SD cards between 8MB and 1GB in size can be used in this camera. When I tried a larger-capacity 2GB SD card in this camera it reported that the card needed to be formatted even though the SD card worked fine in my desktop PC's SD card slot. Verify that the capacity of the SD card you're trying to use is 1GB or less, I suspect the error report about formatting is due to the SD card being larger than the camera can handle.

Memory Priority Problem

Try using an SD card reader on a PC and format the SD memory card that way.
Is it a cheap/generic card. Sometimes they are just not durable.

Sd memory card not read by computer

Reformat the card from the camera. You didn't specify camera model but every digital camera has a menu to format media.

If you don't succeed try to connect your camera to the computer and read the photos.

If that doesn't succeed either take your camera to service.
