522c went out on now, replaced with a LCX28c HD head unit! Lowrance said it would hook right up to existing power and sonar cables....it hooks up, but after powering the unit up, it shuts off after about...

Sounds like you may have an issue with low voltage to the unit. First verify your battery is in good condition. Connect the new power cable directly to the battery using appropriate fuse and test. If the problem goes away then the problem is with the wiring between the battery and the head unit.

Can't see image with shaw pvr on toshiba 32hl57

I presume you followed the instructions in the TV manual during hookup and did not hook up with the units powered up and did select the correct input with the remote?

If you have another unit that uses HDMI try a direct hookup with it to see if the HDMI input is working.

HDMI units do not like being hooked up when units involved are powered up and on--seen more than a few where this was the problem and it is worth a try if the Owner Manual does not help you.

My power acoustic protection light stays on i got good ground and a good positive connection, no speakers or RCA's hooked up, what could it be

Are you fused close to the battery with a 30-50 amp fuse block?
Ground unit also to most closest suitable location!
Is your power wire undersized?
Check units fuses you may have blown one hooking it up!!
Good luck

Never hook up theater units with the power on, you need to have the fuse replaced in your unit. You need a trained tech. for this electrical problem.

Make sure the red wire on the unit is hooked up to power. The blue antenna wire is hooked up (or to the factory amplifier) and the yellow wire on the radio is hooked up to a key on power supply. If it works and you lose the memory when you shut the key off, switch the red and yellow wire power supplies.

Ground wire was hooked up to a power wire...

My guess is it blew the power supply. Best bet would be to have a repair shop have a look.

CAN I ADD A TV TUNER TO MY DUAL XDVD8181 HEAD UNIT

just hook up a vhs or dvd player from home that has tv outputs, but you would need a power inverter for the power supply of the vhs, then put the vhs audio and videos outputs to the dual's input: the auxiliars. make sure the vhs has channel changing.
