The wash pump runs the water which turn the wash arms. (cleaning wheels).

See this diagram. If it is not same as your dishwasher then you will have to post me the full model no. of your dishwasher - something like KUDI01ILBL1 etc/

Please rate the solution if you find it useful otherwise post me a comment with details of what is required.

Roomba 4210 won't start

  • Lift Roomba off the floor and place it in the center of the room and restart the clean cycle.
  • If Roomba did not resume cleaning, lift Roomba and turn it over.* Inspect the Side Wheels for dirt or obstructions.
  • Test the Side Wheels by pushing them in and out and making sure they rotate freely. Place Roomba in the center of the room and restart the clean cycle

Waterfall pump hums but won't pump

this sure sounds if the impeller is blocked and not being able to turn ,Dont let it run this way , can dammage motor of pump , remove intake cover (unplugged) and wash out with garden hose real well , see if impeller (black plastic blade) can turn with your finger (unplugged) , should move easy ! this might be an indacation of need for a filter on pump inlet !!!

    Hi

It seems that something is clogged in the drain pump assembly and you have to clean it to solve this issue. After cleaning if the issue returns then test the door lock assembly, if bad it should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Soap still in large container on door at end of cycle. recently had center spinner arm and main console replaced twice. doesnt clean well. residue left in cups

residue..... check lower spinner arm and clean any bits from insideit by back washing with water, also check the pump inlet and filters.....

as for soap still in container, does the soap recepticle door open... if not just place the required amount of detergent on the lower half of the door..

If the door does open and there is still soap ing the recepticle there is definitely a water problem...

you can also try to remove both the upper and lower spinners and run the dishwasher for a couple of minutes to flush out any debris or buldup inside the lines.

A good quality dishwasher cleaner may also be wothwile trying....

    Good luck!

Salamander rsp 75pump not working, When shower tap is turned on the pump hums but does not pump. Could this be just electrical brushes that need replacing?

I would be more inclined to think that pump impeller has something caught in it. There should be a flex coupling of some kind that you can lossen to remove pump from basin. Unplug electrical cord and pull pump out. There should be a removeable slotted cover on the bottom that you can take off to clean impeller. Remove all debris from bottom, wash out with water. Depending on what type of switch you have on your pump you can make sure all water is out of pump and plug in momentarily, rise float to turn it on and see if it runs. If it has apressure switch you won't be able to do this. If you can make it try to run make sure you only try for a few seconds. These pumps are not designed to be run dry. If it runs put bottom cover back on and reinstall pump. If it doesn"t you probably will need a new pump. Thank. Hope this helps.

Our rather old Hotpoint dishwasher hums but does not run. So it has electricity and does not have a fuse or breaker problem. Can you tell me what's wrong?

The motor/pump has froze/stuck. Turn off the power and remove the lower front cover which is usually held in place with 4 screws. Underneath in the center is the motor/pump assembly. If you feel around you will come across the motor cool fan. Work it back and forth a few times and it should run.

Trying to remove rear brake drum cover, have already adjusted star wheel and still won't remove. what am i doing wrong? for a 93 plymouth grand voyager

    1. Raise and support the rear of the vehicle on jackstands.
    2. Remove the wheels and tire assemblies.
    3. Remove the brake shoe adjusting slot cover from the rear of backing plate.
    4. Insert a thin tool through the adjusting slot and hold the adjusting lever away from the star wheel.
    5. Insert an adjusting tool and back off the star wheel by prying downward with the tool.
    6. Remove the center hub dust cover, nut, washer, brake drum, hub and wheel bearings.
    To install:
    1. Inspect the brake lining and drum for wear.
    2. Inspect the wheel cylinder for leakage. Service as required.
    3. Remove, clean, inspect and repack the wheel bearings.
    4. Install the brake drum and tighten the hub nut to 20-25 ft. lbs. (27-34 Nm), then back off the nut until bearing pressure is released.
    5. Retighten the nut finger tight, align the cotter pin hole and install the cotter pin.
    6. Adjust the rear brakes as described in the beginning of this section.

removed and disassembled inlet water valve - minature basket filter was clogged with white particulate which felt gritty.  cleaned and reassembled and reinstalled.  Works fine now.  Idiot repairman never mentioned a filter but wanted to replace entire valve at cost of 140 dollars including service call.   sears sux bigtime. And, from my experience with Fixya, so does your service since I never heard a thing since July EXCEPT for an offer to upgrade.  Thanks for nothing.
