I tried the decalcification process and I am not able to turn on the coffee maker. It does not run through since it does not turn on. My unit does not have a grind feature. Is there a board or thermocouple that I can check out?

I tried the decalification process but my unit will not tunr on. I am unable to run any liquid through the coffee maker. Also I have no grind feature. It is just a coffee maker. Is there a thermo couple, heating element or board to check ?

Correct. The timer is functioning. I am able to change the time and change the program time. I am not able to get the brew light to turn on or the program brew light to turn on.

I checked the continuity of the heating element and it is okay. I smelled an burnt electrical odor. My coffee maker does not look like the one in thew illustration and I am not sure that I actually found the thermostat. There was a wire that lead into some shrink tubing and a wire coming out. A clip holds the tubbing next to the element. The continuity across that is okay also.

    Any other ideas?

Try to decalcify first. It is possible that there has been a calcium build up.

To clean, fill the water reservoir to capacity with a mixture of 1/2 of white vinegar and 2/3 water. Press the Grind Off button, and turn the coffeemaker on by pressing the On button. One cycle should be sufficient to adequately clean the coffeemaker. When the cycle is completed and the five beeps sound, turn coffeemaker off. Repeat operation, this time using fresh cold water.

The light is not turning on because the sensor does not detect any heat. You have to test the heating element and the thermostat.

Click on this link to show you how to test these parts. You will need a screwdriver and a volt-ohm meter. Be careful, make sure to turn them machine off first.

If your machine is still warranty, take it in for a service. Your safety is more important.

Kirk, this model DCC-2000 is very well known and wide spread design flaw. You might want to call Cuisinart to plead your case. Check this link.

All lights are blinking on coffee maker & unable to brew.

The cups only brew one mug at a time. Open and close the lid to check if that resets itself.
Otherwise, turn the machine off and on again to "reset" the function. Also check that there is enough water

All I need is the manual to my Mr.Coffee Pot how to set the timer to Mr. Coffee GBX23.

First set the clock on the brewer with the unit plugged in. Press and hold the Hour and Minute buttons until the current time is set. Next press the Delay Brew button while using the Hour and Minute buttons to reach the time you want the coffee to begin brewing.

Set up the coffee maker with ground coffee or beans and sufficient water in the reservoir then follow the directions below.

For brewing with fresh ground beans, press and hold the Delay Brew button until it flashes then press Select once. The Grind and Brew light should come on and the Delay Brew light should become steady.

For ground coffee, press and hold the Delay Brew button and then press Select twice. The Brew Only light and the Delay Brew light should both be on and steady.

Most Mr. Coffee product manuals are here: http://www.mrcoffee.com/InstructionManuals.aspx . The direct link to the GBX23 manual is http://www.mrcoffee.com/Manuals/MANUALS/GBX23_43_50118420.PDF .

I hope this helps.

I have Mr Coffee APX33; I do not know how to set the coffeemaker to turn on automatically. I do not have the manual. Hope you can help. Thanks! Larry

First you have to make sure to set the clock for the correct current time:
Press down and hold the SET button. Then alternately press the UP and DOWN buttons (indicated by arrows), until you reach the current time, then release the SET button. (there is a PM indicator on screen but not an AM indicator - if you don't see the PM you are at AM)

To set the time for the brew to start in the future:
Press and release the MODE button once and the Delay Brew Clock picture will start flashing on the screen.
While the Clock picture is flashing - hold down the SET button while you use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to set the desired brew time (you can hold down an arrow button to get there faster). Release the SET button and now that brew time is programmed. (After a few seconds the clock picture will disappear but the future brew time is programmed.)

To activate the delayed brew:
Press and release the MODE button once. The Clock picture will be flashing and the time shown will be the time that you previously set for the future brew). While the Clock picture is flashing - press and release the BREW button. The Clock picture will remain on steady. The BREW light will not come on until the time in the future that you have programmed.

Pretty confusing - but it does work. Just remember that if you see the Clock picture on steady - the machine will come on at the time you have set in.
If you want to use the machine earlier - while the Clock picture is steady - you just press the BREW button and it will brew.
If the Clock picture is steady but you want to cancel the automatic future brew - just press the BREW button twice. (This turns it on and then off and cancels the future brew).

I can send a copy of the manual if you like. Lennyg678@aol

How do you set the clock and program to brew at a specific time?

To program the Auto On
1. Set the desired Brew-Start time.
a. Turn the FUNCTION KNOB to “Prog”.
b. Set the time you want coffee to begin
brewing by using the minute and hour
push-buttons. Follow the same instructions
you used to set the time of day, in
the To set the time section above.
2. Turn the FUNCTION knob to the “Auto On”
position. LCD will display the current time.
3. Lift and release the FLIP SWITCH. The
green indicator light will come on to remind
you that the programming function is in use.
At the programmed time, the red light will
come on as well, indicating that the brew
cycle is starting. Both lights will go off when
keep warm cycle ends.
NOTE: To reactivate the auto-on feature to
start brew cycle at the same time another day,
simply lift and release the FLIP SWITCH. The
green “auto-on” light will illuminate.

Pot keeps shutting off after coffee completely brewed.

This may be an electrical issue, but I would try holding in the on/off button for a few seconds and see if it still displays 2 hrs as the auto-off time. If 2 hrs does display correctly, unplug the unit for 16 minutes or longer - do not plug it back in a single second shy of 16 minutes. Then reset the clock and reprogram the auto-off Try one more time.

If that fails, it may be replacement time.
