Hi i have a acer aspire 5100 when you turn on the laptop thier is not screen at all and if you hook up a diffrent monator thier isnt no picture thier could this be a motherbored issue

some acer laptops differ slightly from others
but are all very similar

please try this please go to the start key
which is in the very bottom left hand side of your screen

start
all programs
acer
acer erecovery management
on the left hit the restore
contents
reinstall drivers/applications
reinstall the webcam driver

then restart the laptop

yes, check first the inverter, then vga cable connection, or the video card...

is the correct video driver installed?

try diffrent webcam drivers, try all that are available one of them will work and thats the right one.

ACER PICTURE PROBLEM – MY SOLUTION

I had a similar problem, but I got a picture before it broke up and went off. The screen was backlit, but no video (screen was receiving some power).
The LCD needs a very stable voltage to work, this is provided through the LCD connector ribbon. In my case the ribbon was damaged and replaced it.
I have had no problem since.

I discovered this through trial and error; I first changed my transformer power supply and then the video inverter card.

First go to your graphics properties and make sure that screen rotation is enabled. then press ctrl+alt+(arrow key) and it will turn that direction.

i need all the drivers for acer aspire

when I try to go on webcam on msn it shows a white screen, also, I cannot take any pictures. anybody know how to fix this? my computer is an acer aspire 5100 with an acer orbicam.. please help
