No signal means exactly what the message says - no signal is received. If you use an external receiver then you must have probably pushed one of the channels buttons, moving the source to the Antenna/TV.
All you have to do to fix that is to select again the correct AV source - push the AV button on the remote until the image returns.

It's the button that allows you to select different sources : it's labeled tv/av, or Source, or it has an arrow pointing in a circle.

What are u using for a signal source? Cable, Satellite, Over the air? My best guess is that you hit a wrong button such as the "source" button and the remote doesn't know what device you are wanting to opperate. Press volume up then down and see what light lights up?
If it is other than "TV" then you probably have the wrong device selected... Hope this helps... Sincerely HDTV GURU JAY

Insignia 37" goes into standby mode

I am experimenting with Insignia's and there is a feature whereby if a signal is not detected the TV will switch to standby mode (in about 10 - 15 minutes). It's documented as a tiny "note" in the manual under "Understanding the basics - Turning TV on or off"

I don't know if the TV resumes when the signal is restored or if you need to power on manually.

You are probably experiencing a glitch with the signal or the TV thinking the signal is not there. Are you watching a clear picture when this happens? I would first check to see if the signal is too weak (like using a signal booster). If that is not the case, it's probably the TV acting up.

I hope this helps.

Frozen on a menu screen

Just fixed ours with the same problem. You need to hit the volume buttons on the remote during the time the screen goes black but BEFORE it gives you the "Connect cables" message. It should trick the TV into giving you a blank channel.

Sanyo TVs are made notoriously cheap, and have little glitches like this. Best of luck, space cowboy.

You will have changed the video/audio input, on your tv, it should be an input button on remote. The signal will either be on AV1, AV2, AV3 Component or HDMI.

Weird error?

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
