    Yes please

  • mjandpagerag Oct 17, 2010

Don't understand that reply. The image I sent yoy was shot in good sunlight at 3.00p.m. in Spain and the image is very dark. the secondimage again was shot in good daylight and is very dark

  • mjandpagerag Oct 18, 2010

I am amazed you feel the image is pretty normal. The shot was taken in bright sunlight. Every phoyo I took recently is very dark and when printed the prints are also very dark

  • mjandpagerag Oct 18, 2010

You suggest pressing the exposure comp button to increase the brightness my problem is I will only find if that is worked when I next take aphoto and upload it. The image on the LCD looks ok in it only when I upload to Photoshop that the dark problem is evident.
When I press the the screen shows 0.0

  • mjandpagerag Oct 18, 2010

I think you have now solved the problem. I have taken the same photo with every exposure setting from 0.0 to 3.7 and it looks like a setting of around 2.3/2.7 is the best result.

    Thank you

What is the picture mode you are shooting? That is the source of the problem. Choose the appropriate mode and it should solve your problem. If not then let me know and we will adjust the settings manually instead of the presests.

In that case i reckon that it is a problem with the CCD image sensor, in its preliminary stage. Have seen this problem before. Can you get me a sample image so that I can see for myself what itn looks like? Also there are exposure settings that you can modify to compensate this problem astleast temporarily.

You can upload it to an imagehosting site like imageshack.us and post the direct link here.

Those images look ok.Its not the image sensor problem. If you still think its dark then You just have to change the exposure settings to solve this. You or someone else may in-adverently changed them, Would you like to give you the instructions?

Rotate the dial to auto mode. And make sure you choose Night-portrait mode to adjust the exposure settings for using at night.

I was talking about this image

It actually looks pretty normal. So I have suggested altering the settings.Use the exposure compensation (the +/- button near shutter release) to see if that makes it better. Note that + is to make it brighter and minus is to make it darker.

Well did you try the exposure setting(pls read my previous comment) to increase the brightness? Since its right behind shutter release someone may have pressed it by mistake.

Yes thats what I meant. You can take a picture when you can and let me know. The 0.0 setting can be increased upto 2.2 which I believe will resolve the issue.

You have to know the MODE your camera is in. If you have it in the wrong mode you may not be able to take a photo in some conditions. You typically cannot take a photo of the moon on any auto setting the moon will be a white blob. The moon almost has to be taken manually.

How do I download pictures onto my computer

To load your digital pictures onto your computer, you will need a card reader (hooked up to your computer via a USB) and your memory card. Some cameras allow you to hook a USB right into your camera without removing the memory card.
If required, you will load your memory card into the card reader. Your digital media will appear as another drive on your computer. Click the drive and your photos will appear in a folder on the drive. You can view your pictures immediately by double-clicking the file. From here, you can save your pictures directly to any folder on your computer.
Additional notes:
  • Consider purchasing photo manipulation software like PhotoShop or Fireworks. Use this software to fix common photo problems (poor light, etc) or add effects like text and color.
  • Print your photos on photo paper.

I need help loading videos from my camera onto my laptop

Hello sarahmcgrath

Use the usb cable supplied with your digital camera and plug it into your computer. It then should automatically be detected and give you the option to transfer photos or videos to your computer. If this does not open check your My Computer for irremovable media drive. The memory card in the camera will show up as another driver letter open up then copy the photos or video from there to your computer.

Pleaes rate my solution, thanks
