Hi mrjohnlove ,
You can procure a 2 usb port or 4 usb port from a computer store as a pci card (pending what type of hardware windows 95 is running on). This can be installed into your pci slot on your computer.
Confirm your hardware slots are either pci or pci-x, or pci-e .... also when your purchase the usb port, make sure you also have the drivers as this may be required when you install and configure.

Why alps md-1000 printer not responding after driver installed

Can you provide more details about the problem? Will the printer print a self test page? What OS, computer, and cable connection are you using? The ALPS printers were designed to work with Windows 95 using a serial port internal to the motherboard. There is a driver that supports a USB port and Windows XP available. XP will automatically install the MS driver using the plug and play feature. The MS driver is useless and it shouldn't be used, but XP will default to it. Don't delete this driver, but rename. There are no native drivers for Windows 7 or higher.

Sharp notebook pc usb port problem

Try going into the Bios or System Setup and make sure the USB is enabled in it. When you turn on the computer notice what key the screen says to hit to get into the Bios or System Setup. Hit that key and look through the Bios for USB. Since your system is old running Windows 95 it might says something in the Bios about Legacy USB ports.

Just loaded flight sim to m/soft vista and have lost the driver disc for sidewinder pricision 2 joystick. Is this unit compatable with vista? If so, can someone direct me to the best free driver download...

Sorry it will not work with vista.

Operating System Requirements: This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:
  • Windows 98
  • Windows 95
Additional Requirements:
  • Windows 95/98
  • Pentium 166 or higher
  • 16MB RAM
  • USB port
  • DirectX 7.0 or later
You can try this also

Usually, Windows will find and automatically install the necessary drivers when you plug your game controller into your computer.
• Plug the game controller into the USB port on the computer. The computer can be turned on when you do this. Windows will recognize the new hardware and set it up to work properly.
Note: Controllers that use game ports (and other ports) are not supported in this version of Windows.
Try this second:

You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps.

1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.‌ If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

2. In Device Manager, locate the device you want to update, and then double-click the device name.

3. Click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver and follow the instructions.

Re-installing Windows '95

Check your bios settings for the usb ports they may be disabled in the bios. Enable them.

Your CD Drive should have been enabled if it allowed you to run windows 95.

Check your make and model numbers for the hard ware that you need to run and post back a comment and I will see what drivers I can find for you.

USB external floppy drive

In windows XP and later the USB mass communication driver are in built, so you can use these devices like USB Floppy drive, USB HDD, Memory card, flash memory etc...

But before windows XP Microsoft did not supply the driver for USB mass storage devices. So, in your case you have to install the Driver for your USB Floppy drive, then you can use this drive as Floppy drive but after complete boot of your Windows 95.

If any problem or more question Just Ask me

Thanks
Iqbal

Will Dell Axim sync with Outlook 2000 on Windows 95?

It should if you have USB on the W95 machine. ActiveSync is compatable with W95. It worked for me with Outlook 98 on a Win95 laptop synching to a PC2000 PDA (Jornada), however I was using a serial cable.
