Hi,

I am sorry but you can't upgrade the graphics card in laptops. You can however, look for moddded drivers for your card which could enable overclocking and loads of other performance tweaks.

WHAT VIDEO CARDS ARE BEST IN VIDEO EDITING AND PICTURE EDITING..

Unless you are using the absolute latest versions of the program - in that case, since they can use hardware acceleration, the best cards are indeed the most powerfull ones - you should have no problem using practically every video card from the mainstream line of both ATI and NVIDIA. For better driver performance get a RADEON HD5770 with 1GB of DDR5 memory.

I have just bought Pinnacle 14, it keeps crashing it says GPU Accelerator off. The transition are an exclamation mark (!) or they take about an hour to come in so that you have no idea what the Titles or...

Your GPU (Graphics Processing Unit, aka video card) handles the display on the computer. On many modern computers the GPU also handles some extra processing, which takes some load off of your CPU. If you are getting error messages about the GPU, it could be a hardware problem, or it could also be a software problem. You didn't mention how recent your Pinnacle software is, but it may be that your software in not fully compatible w/ Win 7. I recently had to upgrade my Roxio (another video burning/editing software) for the same reason. Now mine works wonderfully.
I would first suggest visiting Pinnacle and seeing if there are any software updates for your software product.
Next I would check to see what your GPU is installed in your computer:
Click start/control panel/system, then select device manager, and click "display adapter" to open up your video card. If you have an ATI/AMD or NVIDIA card, there are software updates that may improve performance of the system.
If you have an Intel card, there still may be updates but they are less frequent, and will probably make less of an impact performance-wise.
Please also mention if any other programs are crashing etc. as it may help to clarify the problem.

Hi!

First of all i want to sugest you to make sure that you have maximum of memory, you gona need it if you want to edit videos.

If you want to do video editing the most inportant component is the CPU, then comes the memory, after the memory come the HDD, and after that the GPU

Now the GPU, you have a pci-e 16x port on that MB, so i will give you 3 diffirent sugestions, from a not that expensive to a more expensive to the third that is expensive but not the most expensive GPU there is, all of the very goos for vidoe editing.

1) SAPPHIRE RADEON HD4670 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E VGA/DVI/HDMI

2) SAPPHIRE RADEON HD4870 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E DVI

3) ASUS RADEON HD4870 DARK KNIGHT COOLER 1GB PCI-E DVI

There u have 3 very good GPU:s, but as i told you the most important is the CPU and the memory!

Good luck
Nic
