Question about AOC Computers & Internet

AOC monitor 2436vh does not fill the screen using the HDMI connector. There is a 1 inch black border around the window. Controls to stretch the display are locked out (not accessible) when using that connector.

Hmmm found out it was due to Overscan Issue... Installed AMD Catalyst Control Centre software and found the advanced setting for Flat Panel Monitors and reset the SCALING OPTIONS slider bar to 0% - Problem Solved! Why this software isn't bundled in with the GPU drivers I don't know!?

The "Best Solution" fixes a problem that is unrelated to the original poster. anononline19's solution is to fix the entire OSD being locked (displays OSD Locked when the menu button is pressed).

Original poster's problem can be fixed by changing your graphics card's "overscan" settings.

Overscan on ATI cards:

Overscan on nVidia cards is currently not supported.

The above solution only works if the entire OSD is locked (it displays OSD Locked when you press the menu button). The problem the original poster was having can be fixed by changing the "overscan" settings on your GPU. I only know how to do it on ATI Catalyst Control Center.

Had the same problem! Solve it: go to the AMD catalist and choose advanced look. then inside the digital display setting you'll see scalling option that will show 10% . Set it to 0%. Done!overscan.png

Can't figure out where the volume controls are.

Unfortunately, the 24" AOC 2436Vw Monitor does not have built in Stereo Speakers. I know that is not the best answer to hear, but after doing a little more research, I found that the 24" AOC 2436Vh Monitor has 2 built 1.5W Stereo Speakers for just $50 more.

I have a 24" aoc 2436Vh display and a new 15"

I purchased the AOC 2436Vh display yesterday. To get my MacBook Pro to work with it I purchased Apple's Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter. Since the monitor comes with the VGA cable, all you need is the adapter to plug it into your MacBook Pro. It works beautifully and set up is easy if you know your way around the Mac. Although the HDMI works perfectly with my PS3, I strongly recommend the Apple Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter. I hope this helps.

most like you are not using the native format of the resolution of the screen, it will adjust and not use the whole dimension.

check the manual and then the settings on the computer
