Or use the auto method...

1) Turn the device you want to program on.
2) Press the button you want to program it in as (i.e TV1, VCR1, etc.)
3) Press and hold the Set and Power Button on the remote for a few seconds, pointing the remote at the equipment.
4) Release the 2 buttons and the light on the remote will flash.
5) As soon as the device turns off press any key on the remote and the light will stop flashing,
6) Check the remote now operates correctly, if not repeat the above until it does

engagetek, This would be a very easy thing to do if and only if the label on the rear of the unit has printing similar to my GATEWAY LCD. It states as follows: "100 - 240VAC input 50/60hz." If your Amstrad unit's label reads "220-240VAC 50/60hz only, then you will need to reverse engineer the "ac to dc" power supply, be it an old "linear" or a modern "switch-mode-power-supply" type. You did not state what type of monitor technology your Amstrad is. CRT, LCD, Plasma,???? I would guess that it is a CRT type. Well anyway, I hope the info was of some use. E-mails use memory to have you deleted them?

i would suggest you search the internet for freeware ,of the same type of program you have on the old Amstrad disc's
they will be:

• Free
• better quality
• up to date

it just would not be worth while trying to find then use an emulator, if in fact there is one available to do what you require,
